Comment:
Brod is an awful professor. The class consist of 3 papers and attendance. There is no point in going to class beside it helps your grade and he is a strict grader. His lectures are pointless and do not help with the paper. Book is needed to write the papers. The class could be interesting with a different professor.

Brod's lecture are horribly structured and he makes little to no sense. He takes attendance daily. There are several books required but you hardly use them and could spark note the information. Tests aren't too bad but you won't get the information you need for them from Brod. Avoid this class if you can.

Brod repeats himself a lot and I didn't find his teaching style very interesting. He sets reasonable expectation, but I just didn't enjoy his lectures.

Brod is an average professor. He is extremely boring, but his tests are so easy! You never have to read a single thing because he tells you everything you need to know for the tests. We had 4 tests and all were about 20 multiple choice questions.

Had him for ethics-based Presidential Seminar. He was so pretentious and acted as if teaching the class was in some way "below" him. He will invariably ask the same question 127 different ways, like he thinks he's "testing" you. Paper are 5+ pages, but topics are overly general and ill-explained. DO NOT TAKE!!

Missed 10 classes all semester. Incredibly boring. Skipped 2 whole books. only 4 tests, 1 chance for extra credit. Wish I had taken a different section where I would have actually learned something.

This is my favorite teacher since my senior year of high school. I don't know how he is for humanities, but as a philosophy teacher he does a wonderful job. The material will have you fascinated and he is great at presenting it. He has a rather charming character, and despite what others say, I detect no prominent agenda. Take his class!

Typical liberal hack. Hates himself for being male, and loves radical feminism. He doesn't like himself much for being white or American either, by the way. Can I please have at least one teacher who doesn't have an agenda? Come on!

He is a very nice person, is very smart, & you can tell that he loves what he does. His teaching strategies, however, are not always effective. He talks so much about stuff that doesn't relate to what we are learning, & it is confusing. I wish he would've talked more about the text. Not too bad of a class though. 7 2-3pg papers & 1 11pg final paper

Easy class if you show up to class and pay attention. Lots of books to read but history books are short and there are interesting books at the end. Four tests 20-25 multiple choice questions.

He's awesome. Quite possibly one of the smartest professors I have ever encountered. And he's able to convey all that information to the students. All of the information for tests is in the daily lectures. Seriously a great teacher!

This class was awful..I really struggled understanding the reading, and I went to ask him for help and he just told me to read it again. I failed the first test we had and didn't do any better on the next. i dont recommend him, the tests were impossible too!

I really enjoyed Dr Brod's class. Honestly, if you read the material and listen to his lectures, you should have no problem getting an A in his class. He makes it very clear through his lectures what will be on the test and there are no surprises. He makes a boring subject like humanities actually interesting to learn about. I would recommend him.

What a hack! This guy was actually a guest lecturer at my school. He was talking about racism and bigotry being bad (how could you possibly screw that up????). His "confrontational" style did not go over well. He shortly proved that he was probably the most presumptuous person there. Not a very deep thinker.

Dr. Brod has made this class interesting for me so far. There are days when I snooze because it can be boring, but there are also days when he presents a topic in a way I've never thought of before. He is open to all kinds of thinking as long as you can back what you say.

If you like to write papers and not take tests this is the class for you. Four papers and attendance make up your grade. His lectures can drone on sometimes, but overall very interesting, he knows so much about so many things. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE!!! Trust me on that one.

Boring most of the time. Lectures and papers, no tests. Not what I would expect for Hum 2. Interesting subject matter but very dull class.
