Definetley a hard class. What we read on the text book was totally different from what was given on the tests. There is no way to get a good grade unless you do good on all the tests. No homework, no extra credit just tests. Which for me was hard since I wasnt a good test taker.

He is a quiet teacher, and at first, the fact that he' in wheelchair is distracting. He is very sarcastic, but it's pretty funny and uses current day information a lot fo the times. The tests are hard and you MUST read the book to pass.

I dropped this class partially because it did not mesh with my work schedule, and partially because of conflict of opinion with this professor. He seems a nice guy, but I found his lectures to be WAY too politically loaded toward praising Republicans and capitalism and bashing Democrats. I wanted Economics, not Politics.

Really wonderful guy, seems to know what he's talking about when it comes to economic history, but the lectures are extremely bland and sometimes have tenuous relationship to the material at best. I had very little trouble getting an A, easy multiple choice tests and the final only requires immaculate notes on the Keynesian formulas.

I dunno what the problem is but he's the man responsible for me studying Economics. Sure, his disability might seem to be a distraction, but you better believe he's gonna be calling you up front to draw graphs for him. It helps break the monotony, anyway. Study hard and you'll be well prepped for Intermediate level studies.

Horribly boring class! If you have it, drop it and sign up for something else! He rambles on about nothing and I don't think I really learned any econ from him besides a few graphs. If you're stuck... just read the book and try not to fall asleep in the class

Mr. Call was a great teacher. Sometimes his lectures can get boring but overall he gives you a lot of useful information if you pay attention. His tests were challenging but you got to work together most of the time which can make it easier for most, harder for some because of disagreements. Overall a good teacher.

ABORT! ABORT! Unless you are already good at economics and know a little about what your getting yourself into take another teacher. Class lectures will put you to sleep and only a few graphs help with the test. You must know exact definitions. If you sign up for RAD you can get your grade bumped up a letter. Other than that he's a nice person.

Mr. Call was one of my favorite teachers and i'm sad to see him retire but he deserves it. If you paid attention in his class and studied then it wasn't hard to get a passing grade. His tests were challenging because the answers were reworded to make it more challenging. He was cool though because he would let us pair up on the exams.

He requires u 2 spend time outside the class studying, but if u do that u will get an easy A. Many people cheat easily in his classes since he is handicapped and cannot get to the back of the classroom. Recommend taking him over the other econ instructors.

Tests are on NOTHING in the book or lectures and are very hard. Great Guy HORRIBLE teacher. The final is Extra Credit, but you have to drop by his office and kiss ass if you want an A.

I think he is retiring at the end of the semester. Lecture is fairly worthless but he does use some graphs from class so you should go. Teacher writes a seating chart and will call you up to the board to draw graphs since he is in a wheelchair. Read, read, read the book. Grades are based on exams. There is extra credit for doing RAD. Nice guy.

I got an A in this class but worked my butt off for the final. It all comes down to that. He is the nicest coolest guy, but one of the worst teachers. All u need are the graphs and notes, class is worthless. Find smart ppl and study in groups. I think he's due to retire soon. Anyone wanna get on the table and dance? ;-)

for sure not an easy A class, you got to work for that A if you want it. However he does give provide ex. cr. pts if you sign in with the RAD program. He likes to talk and most often doesn't cover the topic of the course as much as students want plus he tends to act like he doesn't know much but he's nice.

Professor Call is a nice guy and good teacher. I just don't like his testing style. He makes you do essays and graphs from blank paper. You really need to know the material and he is a difficult professor for econ. If you a B or C student then don't take him.

The verdict on professor call is usually 50/50. He is disabled and tends to mumble when he speaks. However he makes you earn your grade, you absolutely must take good notes in class and read the book. He gets mad when the class doesn't want to participate in proposed discussions. Sit in the front, take good notes and you'll get an A.

Mr. Call is the total cute old man, but he can really ramble on about random things, and he does always have chalk on his lips all the time. Its a pretty tough class, the tests have losts of difficult finnicky questions that havnt been gone over in class. if you can, try and take someone else, if not, take notes that can read his mind.
