Dr.Plymale is a great resource! He knows his terminology & he is happy to share his knowledge with interested students. Make flash cards EVERY week & study a little every night. Then the weekly quizzes will be cake for you. What you learn in this class will make your other biology classes easier. He won't hand you an A... but you can earn it easy.

Great guy, really solid knowledge of subject, and seems generally interested in what he teaches. He doesn't give any easy breaks and expects a lot from his students, but what you get in return is a solid understanding of all cell types AND the ability to recognize cell types/tissues under the microscope slide like a pro! I personally found going to lecture a waste of time, but I think he took attendance. All you really have to do is study the words for the weekly quizzes and the two exams, and you need a 95% to get an A. But it is possible if you study every week. He's a retired veterinarian, and he loves his job, this is a must-have class for all bio students!!

Hairy is the man. Lab tests are hard, sample lecture tests are given beforehand, so lecture tests are easy. You will need to study a lot.

This class was a lot of work, and really boring. Plymale's a nice guy and seems to care about his job, but the class is a snoozer. Lecture tests are VERY tricky, and Lab tests are kinda tough. Only take the class if you're prepared to study a lot.

Doing this class in 6 weeks was almost impossible. Lect. tests were tricky. Read EVERY cotton-picking word! Lab tests were 50% identification and 50% analytical. Take Anatomy, Physiology, and Human Development before this class. Nice guy! Loves to teach!

He is a very good teacher. You learn a lot and this class is good for anyone who is pre-med, dent,pharm, etc... The class is hard, but he has is very knowledgable and is very helpful. If you work hard you will get an A. I recommend taking this class.

Friendly personable experienced professor. You can tell he enjoys teaching a lot. Intrinsically wants you to do well. Gives weekly quizzes, and 2 exams. Expect to work somewhat to earn an A. Interesting lecturer. Easy Fun class.
