Comment:

I enjoyed Dr. Love's CHEM 100 class. I thought his lectures were very interesting despite being fast paced. I needed to review the lectures a few times to actually understand the material. Doing the online homework also helped a lot. He provides practice exams on Blackboard, which I thought were the most useful way to prepare for exams.

Comment:

Love is a okay professor but definitely could be better. The major issue I had with this class was the tests being way too long for the 50 minutes that were given to take them. Lots of homework but the homework barely helps your grade. This class was extremely hard for a 100 level class. He does curve the class at the end though which is nice.

Dr. Love, knows his stuff. Does he know how to teach-- NO. Does he like to make up confusing test questions to show how smart he is, yes. Dr. Love cares about his research not about teaching his point scale is lazy! If you plan on taking his class, don't listen to him. The HW is not on the test and he is available for office hours but not the best

Dr. Loves class is NOT EASY but it is GREAT. Read, re-read, do it again. Challenge yourslf and ask logical questions and youll do fine. His bell-curve grading makes it so something like ~3% of people are able to get an A, but i did it and you can too. Hat is off to him, he tells you what you need to know and not know. very helpful too

Hard class. Need to study a lot. Office hours are the only way to get an A. Posts practice tests but have to figure out answers by yourself & go to office hours to see if right. Answers are not in the book & cant find them on the internet because he makes his own questions. Focuses on lectures and practice tests.

I don't think that Dr. Love is the best lecturer, but I think that he would be an awesome lab instructor. His lectures were a bit of a mess and he talks super fast. Also make sure to do the reading, I think that's where I fell short. And do the homework problems. I never went to office hours, but I heard that he was super helpful in them.

Great professor. Makes classes interesting and is clear on his expectations. Be sure to read the text and print out lecture notes. Homework problems will show up on the exams. Its also really helpful to attend class. Not an explicitly easy class but with sufficient effort a decent grade is attainable.

Dr Love knows his stuff and he is very helpful. Every day at the beginning of lecture he asks if anyone has any questions and answers anything that's not clear. He is one of the best at State.

Dr.Love is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He makes very difficult concepts crystal clear and is very helpful to students who need help. The class is hard, but very feasible if you study.

Dr. Love is not really a good teacher. He gives three tests total for your grade in the class and gives you a lot of the answers for each test in class. However, you don't really learn anything, you just learn the secrets to getting a good grade. Study practice tests not really notes (except for the diagrams etc. for the written part)

VERY confusing teacher, I'm not sure if he knows the definition of teaching, but he sure as hell doesn't do it. He goes through lecture notes as if one could read 100 words/sec. Very unstable, unpredictable, always chaging things last minute. Lectures are behind of readings...???

Super fun. Likes to keep the class in an interactive state. I started to like biochem because of him...and his cool directors chair. Give him a chance..come to lecture..and use all hints he says. Just keep up and you'll be totally fine.
