Hearne is literally the worst professor I have ever had. Does not do demonstrations. Rambles on a lot. Other than mentioning artists such as Picasso and Matisse which even a 4 year old knows about, sadly I learned nothing in this class.

I took this class to become a more well rounded artist. Landscape is not my forte, however I did improve because I worked my butt off. New project every week. His comments are not very helpful-- just try to improve as an artist on your end. He's pretty boring.

If you lose your interest in art just because the prof is boring, then sorry you don't really like art at all. If you really love art, then you'll find his comments helpful. It's not easy to understand his comments but they're helpful. He doesn't give you a particular solution but inspires you to think about your own solution to pictorial problem.

Probably the worst teacher I have ever had. Whatever you do, do not take him, he will kill all motivation and inspiration there is in art. He gives one meaningless project after another, his mumbling comments are incomprehensible and discouraging.

Sometimes he's not very clear as to what he wants initially, but it always ends up being clarified. This class really stretched me as an artist and I feel like I've taken a lot out of it - all the assignments he gives are for a specific reason. There's also enough variety to keep me from going crazy. Work hard though - there's a lot of work involve

Maybe he's not so energetic as others but I don't mind(He can't change his personality!).He gives PLENTY of assingments so you should be very busy.He encourages unique abstract creativity since it can be applied to many things. There's no absolute right or wrong to abstract ideas, so don't worry!

I definitely learned little to nothing in this class. His lectures made me want to cry they were so dull. If you do the work, youll be ok and get a decent grade, but dont expect any form of entertainment out of pardee or this class.
