She is a great mentor for all students and provides lots of advice and pointers on how to do well. She genuinely cares about her students' success in and out of the classroom. She helped me in many tough times.

She is not too bad. She does not explain very well her class material(maybe because of her English), and her powerpoint slides are sometimes disorgarnized. However, she is always available for office hours, and she is sad when students do not participate in class or fail her exams. She is a fair grader

Professor Guardiola-Diaz is an amazing professor. She has a true passion for her subject and she reflects that in her work. She does give out an abundance of assignments and readings, but she does return papers in a timely manner with helpful feedback. She has clear guidelines on how to succeed in her course and will not hesitate to help you.

Avoid as much as you can! I gave the benefit of the doubt for this professor; my mistake. One of the worst professors I ve ever had. Up until the end of the semester I and the whole class didnt know if we were failing or passing since feedback was never given to us (reports, prob set, presentation). Not helpful at all if you were to ask questions.

She assumes students are always trying to find the easy way out. Almost every student in the class had to teach themselves the material before each test. If you go and ask for help, she thinks you are trying to cheat and will tell you to "read the book" or "look at the slides", which you most likely already have 100 times before coming to her.

Not as terrible as everyone says. She means well and cares about the students. To do well in her class you must memorize her powerpoints (which isn't that hard actually). I honestly didn't even take notes, just read the ppts a few times over before the tests and did pretty well. I enjoyed the class.

She is one of the worst professors that I have ever had. She never finishes a lecture and often strays from the subject at hand. Impossible to understand. Only hope for passing the class is if you manage to teach yourself everything, which is very difficult with her vague slideshows. Also very unhelpful outside class. 2/10 teacher

Unless you can understand Biology in Spanish I highly recommend not taking this course. She rarely completes her trains of thought during class lectures and yet expects you to be able to explain high level ideas for the tests. Overall one of my least favorite teachers.

She's very unclear regarding assignments, course material, and her expectations. Going to see her after class doesn't help, she's often rushed and very clipped. This class has literally taught me nothing so far, her teaching style is letting her students figure our course material all for themselves.

Prof. GD seems very nice at first, but don't be mislead. She is entirely unclear and erratic. She doesn't explain assignments or her expectations and grades extremely unfairly. She plays favorites and takes forever to get work back to you. I respect prof.'s with high expectations, but her expectations are plain silly and unrealistic. Avoid her!

In addition to not being able to understand her in class, her tests are rediculously difficult. That said they would be much easier if she wasn't so misleading about what to study and actually wasn't out to fail you. What's even worse is that the average on tests are D's and that class doesn't scale. Probably the worst teacher I have ever had.

HORRIBLE! She may be nice, but unfortunately it doesn't make up for how bad she is at teaching. She would have you hand in a problem set and take a quiz on Friday and then test you on Monday without having provided you with any keyes. She also only has one way of explaining things, so if you don't get it the first time, too bad.

although disorganized, she tries really hard and is one of the nicest people -- she has a true concern for her students and a love of science that makes it contagious. i love her, great outside help, advise anyone to take her.
