Very nice and funny teacher. He entertains the class well but he is very unorganized and doesn't help students well if they are struggling. Great man but terrible professor. He has a thick accent which can be hard to understand. I had to teach myself mostly everything in this class. Classes got out extremely early as well.

Avoid Dobrushkin at all costs. Worst in-class examples I've ever seen, almost no support is given to students. Be prepared to learn CAS software in class and on daily quizzes, only to have 50% of your test made of highly detailed theorems that were never covered -and the book is "not required", so you are expected to learn these from thin air.

I found Dobrushkin to be among the worst professors I've had at URI. Lectures are very disorganized and unclear, and he did not seem interested in helping students understand the material. There was no syllabus for the class, and lectures skipped around the textbook with no pattern. Would recommend avoiding him, especially for MTH 215.

It may be hard to understand him sometimes due to his accent, but he is funny, caring and is always making sure his students will pass his class. He gives extra credit opportunities and gives a quiz at the end of every class (take home) which pushes us to actually learn. Also, half of the quizzes are dropped at the end of the semester.

Um well that's rude... Vlad should be getting top marks. He's such a bro I adore him as a professor. I ended with a hard A. He's hilarious and sarcastic, and once you get by the accept and actually PAY ATTENTION, you'll get an A. Get to know him, too. He's really cool.

I love him! He's so funny and sarcastic with his accent and all. Here's how the class works: You go to class, take notes (on fairly easy material) and he gives you a quiz at the end of each class. He will let you work with other people on the quiz AND ***HE ONLY GRADES 1/2 OF YOUR BEST GRADES. Exams are short & easy. Don't buy the book !!

Vlad is the man! He doesn't explain anything in class, but his daily quizzes force you to learn the material. Plus, when he gives exams, he'll up and leave the room for 20+ minutes at a time, so the exams become open book/group exams.

Professor Dobrushkin takes a very laid-back approach to this class, which may be alarming and sometimes infuriating at first. However, if you really pay attention in class he breaks things down into very simple terms for you to understand. All of his quizzes are take home as long as you ask him. Exams are exact questions found on those quizzes.

He's extremely funny but, unfortunately, a poor teacher. He rambles a lot and doesn't explain things too clearly, but makes up for it with A LOT of extra credit/scaling.

Wants to see individuals succeed, very funny as well. Offered up to 15 points extra credit on overall grade by completing Wiley plus homework and Matlab programming assignments. Prior to tests informed everyone what questions would be on it. Would recommend, only math teacher at URI that an A is not a struggle to achieve.

Basically a self-taught course. Hilarious man, but he cannot teach. He's disengaging and openly expresses his laziness. In one exam, he walked out for a minute and some cheating ensued. He didn't even question the high class avg. despite his saying it would be the hardest exam of the semester. Your best friends will be YouTube and the textbook.

Professor Dobruskin is a great guy. His tests are very difficult with little to no partial credit. He is very difficult to understand at times and drags out lectures. Very bad with communication via email. Hardly responded to my emails when I was out of class. Nice man, just not a fantastic teacher. Taught myself most of the material.

He's a funny dude don't get me wrong but he is very confusing on certain topics. He doesn't usually give partial credit on tests so its often a 100 or a 0. Tests are very hard, probably the hardest thing I've ever taken in my life. Avoid this professor if you can but if you study super hard and make sure to understand him, you will pass.

Great professor, great personality, always there to help. At first, he was kind of eh, but over a couple weeks he began to grow on me. As long as you LISTEN and ask questions when you do not understand, then you will be fine. His entertainment (aka quizzes) at the end of each class that are solely for understanding purposes are very helpful!

Not only is Vladimir very unhelpful, but he gets mad when someone doesn't understand and asks questions. He does not give an partial credit on tests, therefor if you get one thing wrong on a test, the entire problem is wrong. He means well and wants to see his students pass, but if you do not understand the lecture, you're screwed. Avoid this class

This guy is so nice, once you start to get used to his accent and how he runs the class you'll realize its the easiest math class in the world. he really wants his students to succeed. Doesnt even give homework, just 3 exams throughout the semester. lets u write formulas on the board too 4 the exam!

Love this man. Sometimes hard to understand but if you really pay attention and read the book you'll do fine. He is very funny and cares about his students. Math 106 is also one of the easiest classes I've taken, if you get an 80% or higher in the class you don't have to take the final. Highly recommend this class

Doesn't answer questions and gets frustrated when students don't score well on tests but can't explain the grading behind them.
