Comment:

Heidi is great. Really enthusiastic about plants and her love for them is infectious. She expects a lot from her students and consequently, the class is hard but you really do learn a ton. This class dramatically changes your way of looking at the natural world.

This class is not what one would expect. There is a particularly strong emphasis on ferns. Also, the lab portion of the class is extremely difficult, despite not being very useful. On top of that, Prof. Dobson is very difficult to understand during lectures.

Heidi is fantastic! She's knows what she's talking about, she let's you call her by her first name, and she's always willing to help. If you ever have a problem she's willing to help you. Everything we learn is fascinating and we learn so much of it.

I took two small classes from Heidi and loved both. She conveyed her love of the subjects well, and was extremely supportive if you sought her help. I found her classes to be easy, valuable and engaging. We covered a lot of material but I retained most of it, largely because she presented it with such enthusiasm.

compleatly unable to connect w/ humans--shes about as able to communicate as the plants she loves. I cant speek for her other classes, but bio 112 is not a fun class. The potentialy interesting material is killed by unorginized lectures and deadpan delivery.

She is much better in a small class setting than in a large lecture. She totally drove me crazy in 112, but I love having her for a small class. She knows her stuff and is very enthusiastic and very flexible.
