Mrs.Goodwin is the type of teacher who enjoys her students to participate in her discussion. Unfortunately I don't enjoy class discussions and she tends to ignore or tend to her favorite students first. Thats if you were in my position.She wasn't as useful to me as she was to her favorites. Often skim grades essays.

Mrs. Goodwin is enthusiastic and obviously knows her stuff. She is very clear about what she expects out of you and does a great job at explaining the terms and ideas you are supposed to use for the assignments. She was late to class almost everyday, but her instruction made up for it.

Best English professor by far. She has an unique way of teaching the class and really knows the material. She is extremely helpful when it comes to papers & is always ready to offer advice. The essays are not hard topics at all and are usually based off class discussion. I would definitely take her class all over again!

I really like this teacher. She is passionate about the art of writing. She explains the short story material in class so that everyone can understand even the most difficult readings.As long as you do the work you should be fine. The hardest essay to write in the class is usually the first, then it gets easier. Great teacher again.

no ****but i love her! ms goodwin has an incredible vocabulary and ability to recreate what is going on in those stories. she obviously appreciates literature n when u have a professor who is passionate but not obsessed w their subject, it is extremely beneficial. very patient, very realistic, and very helpful, bar none she's DOPE!

She was GREAT there was not a day of summer sem. i was on time lol i'm not a morning person and the class was at 11:30 lmao but she is cool i only got one grade below a b and when i redid it i got a B. Get the Lit. book i didnt get the other one its not "needed" but helpful. she will help you if you ask for it. USE QUOTES!!!! I got a B. GET HER!!

She's a very tough grader. Very opinionated, which is not a good thing when it comes to a good english teacher. She gave me a 50% on a paper and said that the req. was 3 pages, which is what i had, and said i need to quote the story, which she had not mentioned when giving the assignment. She's very unfair, doesn't offer help either. keep looking.

Great teacher. Hard grader but extremely fair. Very helpful as long as you try. You read 3-4 stories a section and you analyze them - character, setting and symbolic analysis - then you have a final research paper. Basically 4 papers with one being the final research paper . Worth taking.

I think she if FAR too opinionated to be an english teacher. She loves english but has to understand that if something is not to her liking, she shouldn't shoot it down just because she doesn't see eye to eye on that particular subject matter. She's got to take out a lot of her personality OUT of the classroom. It affects her grading.
