DO NOT TAKE HER! She has a monatone voice which gets extremely boring and hard to focus, she take attendence every class. Not helpful, and her tests are hard.She always curved her tests because none of the class ever did well. Don't take her if you don't have to.

I didn't think it was possible to make sex boring until I had Berger. She makes everything dull and to top it all off, her voice is extremely annoying. Takes attendance every time. Do all the readings and study hard...she curves all the tests anyway because everyone does bad. I got an A- but I'd never take her again.

She is bias and gets off topic sometimes. I would suggest not taking her and she also smelled funny. The first book she used sucked, but the one she wrote wasnt so bad. Make sure you do the assignments!

She has the most annoying voice ever, she can be on topic,but very easily gets off topic, her favorite topic is sex,and her tests are hard because she doesn't explain the study guide. I don't RECOMMEND her, hopefully you won't get stuck with her like I did!!!

Lectures tend to go on forever and jump from place to place. She likes to explain the same things 4 different times right after another. Exams aren't too difficult but she does ask trick questions. She's not too bad but I wouldn't reccommend her.

soc. of gender. interestng material but boring class bc shes an awful prof. the class itself is simple but the big paper is tricky.. so ask lotsa questions for EXACT details of wat she wants and youll do great. I got an A- but i wouldnt take her again...

You will do fine in her class if you study for her exams. The exams can be tricky but there is always a curve because everyone does terrible on them. She doesn't clearly state what is on the test which is why you actually have to do the readings for her class

you only have 3 tests and that includes the final. wasn't hard if you just skim over the textbook and read the readings. also, go to class, tests are about half and half with the reading and the lecture. i'd say about 1/3 of what's on the test is common sense anyway.

very unorganized, gives no direction for final paper yet grades papers as if she did. had to write my proposal 3 times, each time making corrections that she told me to make, only for her to tell me that she never said that. as far as paper writing, she doesn't tell you what she expects and i dont think she even knows what she expects herself :(

I never studied, and I never did any work for this class and ended up with a B+. I wouldn't recommend it because it feels like a waste of time going to class, but it is pretty easy and she only took attendance 5 times. If you just review what is on the study guides and take some notes in class, you will be fine.

This lady thinks she's a witch. She sucks at teaching, and the material SHOULD have been easy but she made it hard. The only good part of this class was that she curved every exam 20% because so many people failed. It is possible to get an A, but do yourself a favor and DON'T take this class with Berger!

I guess she changed her habits because her tests are NOT open note anymore. She lectures about random things and you have to rely on the book to study for the tests. STUDY. I got an A but only after 8+ hours of studying for each exam.

Dr. Berger is a great professor and it is obvious that that people that dont like her are the ones who are probably lazy and dont want to think in class. There is no reason for anyone to get below a B in her class.

WORST teacher! She may have a PhD in soc, but knows very lil' about teaching. She jumps from subject 2 subject constantly, never finishing a thought. She gives study guides for the tests,which r a waste b/c tests r straight from the book & a few ques on the articles! Most annoying voice ever!

the class isnt that bad. She gives u a study guide and it has exactly what is on the test and its open notes, it isnt all that bad. her voice can et irksome but she is interesting, you learn a lot about interesting topics. not a waste of time at all and she is very nice herself.

Really annoying and boring but she is not the worst prof. Tests are open note but I still got a C+ on the first test, so they are not easy. She doesn't really care whether you do well or not. She is very unclear and goes off on tangents so it's really hard to take good notes. Avoid her if you can.

i actually found her voice/accent the most entertaining part of the class. she rambles a lot. not a very good prof, but not horrible...but avoid taking her if you can
