Comment:
I had Morelli for a summer English course; she made it a breeze. We had to do a group project where every group got a 90 and we had grammar tutorials which you could get 100 in as long as you showed up and participated. She does mark hard on the essays, but the easy credit from project and tutorials balance it out.

She was very engaging and passionate about the works we were studying. She made a condensed summer class bearable to attend every day. Yes, she expects her students to write at a university level grammar-wise, but she is very approachable for help. You can bring drafts of your essays to her and she will help you improve your work.

What I like is she helps you boost your grade by giving you full marks on your group presentation and small assignments, and she is very willing to help improve your writing skill. What I don't like is her overemphasis on grammar. You might receive a 35% on your paper JUST because you have many grammar issues. Overall she is a fairly good prof.

I took her class in Summer, and she is really a suck marker. And she only tries to let you know how horrible your essay, and she makes half class students fail.

She was a very tough grader with essays often causing over half the class to fail. She helps improve marks with group projects which were very enjoyable, but would still not take another class of hers.

The group projects in this class were very fun, it made it easy to make new friends. there were 30% of the mark in group projects and you could do well if you tried. however the essays were TOUGHLY GRADED for a class that does not focus on grammar but rather on reading drama. She was very enthused about teaching lectures and made class interesting

Do not take a class from her. She never helps you achieve, rather she just tells you how horrible you are at writing. For a first level english class, she failed more than half the students on the only essay we did for marks. The essay we got had no guidelines either , so basically you never know what to expect. AVOID HER if you need an english.

Henriette gave us many opportunities to boost our marks with group projects, which you could easily get 80+ on. However, she is very tough marker on essays, which she warns you about all the time. But she is very wiling to help you out with anything you need before or after class as well as during her office hours.

She takes her class as a major priority and expects you to do so also. She cancelled her class and rescheduled it until a later time of day and told people to skip labs and such to watch a movie that could be found on youtube. She is fair though. If you need help or more time, she will adjust and usually let you get it.

She is very passionate in the subject matter and obviously loves drama in general. There are lots of little assignments with groups that seem like a workload but are actually just an easy way to boost your average. In regards to essays, I personally didn't find her grading tough but other people in the class seemed to.

Great first year English Prof! I took a first year English Narrative course with her over the summer and found she was a great prof. She is a tough marker, however she makes her objectives clear and outlines what is expected in an essay very thoroughly. In addition, she is willing to adjust final marks fairly. Highly recommend!

She was a great prof! I had some trouble with my writing composition and grammar and she met with me outside of class to help me clearly understand. I would definitely take another class from her. Just do the assigned readings and you're golden.

50 percent of the mark in the class was presentations that you could get 100 on if you put hard work into it. Her essay and final are marked much harder because she says she marks so easy on the presentations.

Loved this class. I took her reading drama class and she made it really fun. She acted like she wanted to be there every day and knew all of our names. When it came to giving extensions she was understanding and made the course interesting and interactive.

One major essay for the entire multi-term course. She marked it 'extra' hard because she had been giving out so many bonus marks. Bonus marks from bonus projects that were comparable to what is expected of a grade 9 student. Never answered emails. Took 'over-analyzing' to a whole other level!

She is probably a good first year prof, but for a senior level class her lectures and assignments are too simplistic. I did not learn anything new in this course because I had previously studied all the material in ENG 110. She also does not give any constructive feedback on assignments which is incredibly frustrating.

I found her class tedious. She is enthusiastic during her lectures, but the majority of her points can be found in the footnotes of the material. This was a full year course and we spent most of our time doing bonus assignments (which took up much more time than they required) and a minimal amount of time of her actually lecturing. A waste of money

Fabulous prof! I would absolutely recommend her for a first time English class! She comes off somewhat hard initially, but only because she wants her students to work to the best of their abilities. She was an excellent TEACHER, and I believe she can help ANYBODY with their university essay writing skills. Amazing, very approachable. Fair marker.

She was pretty good, but put a lot of effort into her assignments, but there aren't very many assignments. Take good notes and don't miss class. She's really interesting but get her to proof read your essays.
