Great teacher! His notes are very orderly and easy to follow and the tests are straight forward. Makes corny jokes about his name all the time and other puns. Come to class and read what is assigned and you'll do fine.

He is such a great teacher. He's very helpful and really knows his stuff. He cares alot about the subject but doesn't force you into the religion. I was doing bad on his class at first but he helped me out and I got a B+. Talk to him once in a while, do the work, STUDY THE QUIZZES,and you'll do good.

Professor Hash is the man!!! He takes his time to know every student in the class, and gives you five extra points at the end of the class for going to his office to talk to him! I will take him for all of the religion classes. He is an amazing professor that is very nice. And the corny jokes liven up the classroom!

Comment:

He's a good professor to take for going to seminary, but he's a bad professor to take for the academic study of REL. Spends too much time on his personal theology in class. Don't listen to him when he says u only need to be in class for only 30 min. because he is a real jerk to students who are late to class or who seem to be inattentive.

He really cares about all his students, and genuinely wants you to do well. Go to class and you will do well on the quizzes and tests. Everything that appears on his tests are in the handouts he gives out during class. There is one 6 to 10 page paper. Also, his cheesy jokes were great!

Took him for Hebrew Scriptures. He is an awesome man, his puns are cheesy, but funny. He cares enough to learn everyone's name and is very helpful. There is one 6-8 page paper, 3 exams, and about 8 quizzes which are pretty easy. Tests are straightforward

He is an alright teacher. Pop quizzes every now and then but they are easy there is only 3 tests and 2 papers. He always makes corny jokes to try and keep your attention in the class. overall the class was pretty good just a little bit boring

I have never been so bored in my life. If you have to take this class go with java. Mr. Hash is a really nice guy though. He is very humble and willing to help in any way he can. His corny jokes are the only thing you can look forward too because there are a lot of pop quizzes, The test are very hard and it's always hot in the room. Good Luck.

the OT has literally never been so boring to me than while in this class, but the concepts are really easy if you were a sunday school kid. hash is a sweet guy who tries hard to know who you are by face and name, and i think he cares about what he's teaching. exegesis is a beast, quizzes are tricky, but tests are pretty easy. not a bad class.

Mr. Hash is one of the good professors you will never forget. He cares about his students, adds fun by making goofy jokes and really knows his stuff. A humble man, but speaks with great knowledge and experience. I made an A in his class, but it required a lot of hard work. One of the best, a great professor. Cares about students and very interesting lectures. I recieved an A, which was very challenging. He is tough, but well worth the experience. You must attend class (you can miss 6), if you dont there is NO WAY to do well!!! His tests and quizzes focus primarily on lecture notes. One of the best at Appalachian.

I really liked Professor Hash. Attendance is not mandatory, but you get extra points if you show up. Tests aren't too terribly difficult if you study adequately. He gives pop quizzes that can be hard if you haven't looked over your notes.

Herb is a really cool guy. His class is boring but he throws in jokes to keep students interested. He really does care about every single one of his studnets. As long as you go to class and take notes you will be fine. The tests are not bad and there is only two, 5-7pg papers and 3 non-acculative tests, the last test is considered the final exam

Mr. Hash is an AWESOME teacher. He knows his stuff, and as long as you study for his quizzes and tests you'll be just fine. If you don't study, you'll be screwed. I would definately reccomend him if you're interested in taking New Testament Lit. Enjoy his cute lil jokes!!!

Very interesting perspective on the bible. But very good class. I worked very hard and did the extra credit assignments and still received a C. Must have an extreme amount of time to study. Very witty man though.

Real nice guy, and cares about students making a good grade and gives more than enough chances to do extra work to pull your grade up if your stuggling. Test are pretty hard, and pop quizes are bad news as well. Really got to put the effort in to make an A, but can squeez a B with perfect attendance and doing the extra work with average effort.

He cares alot about his students but expects alot from his students. You have to be in class or he will drop you, very hard test, lots of "pop" quizzes but you never know when, very intense papers, GREAT professor but not just an easy humanity!

Tests were kinda hard, requires alot of reading (but its OT lit so its expected). He cares alot about his students, and helps them if they are struggling. You need to do the reading if you don't already know the bible very well, and the random quizzes suck if you are behind.
