Excellent professor, has a lot of experience in his field and genuinely cares about his students. Work is not difficult, just requires reading. Generous grader. Most accommodating professor I've ever had in terms of due dates and deadlines. Overall good guy.

Only course I have ever failed. Gives you an quiz every day, says they are to see if you've read, but they are comprehension quizzes, and he doesn't go over the material before hand. Said we wouldn't be learning about non useful info all semester and just stick through the boring part, never changed. Just an attempt to keep students from withdrawing

Prof. Theriault has a great ethics class. If you work consistently hard, you'll do great. There are reading quizzes everyday, but if you do the readings and do well on them, you won't have to take the exams. There are 4 papers. The grading system really rewards consistency. It's an easy class only if you refuse to slack off. I'll miss this class.

Be prepared to read before every single class. He is a tough grader! There is a quiz every single class also. Would not take again... Hardest class to understand he also makes things unclear and confusing.

The class is tough but he puts a huge scale on everything so basically a C becomes a B and a B an A etc.

I've taken 2 classes with him... be prepared to work hard. This is not an easy A or B. He makes you work for it but welcome to the real world people! Very helpful when he knows you are making an effort. Alot of reading which can turn you off but the subject matter is so real, important and interesting. Spend some time on it and you will be fine.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS, insanely hard and confusing. The movies suck, the readings are very thick. The whole concept of the class is stupid.

I have taken a few classes with him. He is a tough grader, but the material is fairly hard, too. It is a lot for 100 and 200 level classes, but he knows his stuff and he really wants you to learn from the class. His online classes are very structured, and he is very good about giving feedback and and answering questions. Tough, but not impossible.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! Professor is rude, inconsiderate, and could care less about a students grade, you are assigned very complicated readings every night, and are expected to not just understand them but be able to analyze them. Unless you love reading and philosophy this class will be a nightmare for you as it was for me.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. He is rude, condescending, and unhelpful. There is no film only philosophy. He once said to me "Don't worry what we say in class only do the reading." He is unclear in his teaching and also talk negatively about everyone and everything. He also puts down his students on tests, papers and in class if he does not agree.

This class was a lot of work with a lot of reading, but I learned more in this class than I have in most others. I took this class as a Global Perspectives elective and I'm glad I did. Therialt is more challenging than most professors at WSU, but doesn't expect too much from his students.

Yes he gives a LOT of reading and work, but that's what a college course should consist of, don't take this if you're looking for an "easy" class. His classes are there to teach you and you walk out with more knowledge than you walked in with.

Took Formal Logic with him, eventaully withdrew from it..Terrible teacher, would get all flustered and nervous when a student corrected a mistake of his on the board that he didn't catch on his own. Heavy workload and very high expectations of his students. He even said to us that you should be teaching yourself or otherwise your not mature enough

Worst teacher I've had thus far in my college career. He does nothing to help students with understanding the concepts. Does not give any real constructive criticism to help improve either in discussions or on papers. His grading scale is 1-10 so a lot of points are missed if you fail to correctly analyze and communicate the topic of your paper.

By far the hardest 100 level course I've taken (online). His expectations of this course are way too high for it's educational ranking. 4 papers, 4 discussions. Very withdrawn from the course and isn't very helpful when you ask for help and guidance. Disappointed

He appears like he is a really nice professor but he is very rude. Strict no cell phone policy or you are withdrawn from the class or failed. He claims his quizzes are just to see if you read but they are really comprehension quizzes and he doesn't talk about the material before quizing. I would NEVER recommend any of his classes!
