He was an okay professor, Only problems were he was not clear on what he was looking for in a couple of his assignments, however he does answer emails very timely. He seems to be a fair grader, but could use some work. For example, sometimes I never understood what I was getting points off for. Overall, a good choice, Work hard, you'll get the A

This class is incredibly boring, and his video lectures simply repeat the PowerPoint, which already repeats the textbook. This class is supposed to teach us how to write business documents, but even the textbook says to follow the standards of your workplace, which basically means that this class doesn't have a point to it.

Wonderful teacher, very patient and common sense-oriented. Does a lot of work in class so you can complete a lot of homework with the benefit of having him there to ask questions of. Would take him again for any class.

He is enthusiastic about the class and open to discussion/questions, but if you do not like to read, the workload is overwhelming. 50+ pages of reading required with a day between classes and sometimes over 150 pages of reading required for the weekend. He does random pop-quizzes.

His class is enjoyable. He is so laid back and easy going--very approachable. It's an easy class, but I already knew a lot about editing. If you don't, you may find it harder. The 2 big projects (1 is a group project) are time consuming, but not hard.

I have only taken a web course by this professor. It was a nightmare! The class was Technical Communications - which is all about organization and writing foolproof instructions. Should have been the best online layout possible right? No way! Website rarely worked, couldn't find assignments, forever to grade. DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY'S WEBCOURSE

Although a decent professor and knows his subject... this is the most boring class I have ever takin in my life. If you hate reading but need the class, either get and enotes subscription of sparknotes all the reading. It's as if he makes his quizzes directly from sparknotes. Says okay about 150-200 times in one class.

Tons of writting, too much work for a three hour class. He is not an easy teacher and it is not easy to make an A or even B. Don't take him if you don't like to write a lot.

I took the class beacuse I though it shoild be easy, but you have to work hard to make a B. He is reaaly into detial when he is garding your writting.he is fin

Lots of reading is required for this calls. He gives about 8 quizzes per semester. If you look over the summaries from sparknotes.com, and enotes.com, you'll have no problem getting A's on those quizzes. I recommend subscribing to enotes.com, I did, they're the only reliable site that has summaries for everyone of the stories we read. Saves you a l

Take him if you can. I've always hated English classes, but I enjoyed this class. The quizzes and midterm are all short answer, so do the reading and know your stuff. No multiple choice, but the questions are fair.

Super professor. Knows his subject and teaches accordingly. If you do not mind reading your assignments and showing up for class you should get an A or B. Pay attention to the questions on the mid and final test and answer them accordingly. Dr.Smith teaches a much better class than the other professor who teaches this same class.

Lots of reading, but he tries to limit it to the interesting readings. Great teacher, gets his students involved. Cares about his students. Easy Mid and Final. Read!! Know the authors and story titles and main events and you will pass his class with a a or b. Take notes in class about the similarites in the stories for the compare and contrast essays (midterm)
