While the content isn't bad, I dread going to this class. He seems incompetent, fumbling with the most simple equations. If you ask a question, the response is usually extremely unhelpful and makes you more confused. Math not your strong suitDO NOT TAKE HIM. Took 10%!! off my exam bc of 1 wrong final answer but full credit to someone who cheated

I had him for calc 3 and he was one of the best professors that I've had here. The class was well taught and fairly easy compared to calc 2.

One of the easier math professors at Bradley. I had him for brief calc, after taking a calc course in high school. I didn't put in much effort, however, I still got an A in the course. He gave our class two extra credit quizzes and extra credit after the Cubs won the world series. About half of the class skipped consistently and still passed.

I had Dr. Kasube as a freshman in 1979. He was the only Calculus teacher who required homework, every single day; and included it as a key part of your grade. Too many people skipped classes and skipped homework, and most of them failed. 30+ years, I remember his exact words. "You can't memorize Calculus. You have to know Calculus."

I want to start by saying that I am a straight A student. He is a very good and funny person, but a horrible teacher. I went to tutoring did my homework went to office hours everyday. Office hours were no help. Would insult you. Class did not use any examples. Study guides were just words- no problems. Tests were not like the homework at all.

Comment:
Prof. Kasube is confusing, to say the least. His lectures often stray into wayward stories and tales that eat up half of the lecture time, and are repeated multiple times over. His responses to questions asked makes a student feel inadequate and imbecilic, instead of actually helping people learn. Office hours have proven useless for outside help.

Comment:
He is difficult. If you don't learn well by verbal lectures, then any course with him will be tough. For MTH120 there is no outside help, as each teacher teaches it differently, and going into office hours is useless, as he makes you feel stupid when you ask questions instead of constructively criticizing. The math department is not good here

He can be quite difficult. His study guides do not help you at all and he is not clear with any of his lectures. Be ready to teach yourself because you will have no clue what to do unless you read the material yourself. Some of the work can be common sense but things that you do not understand you will need to find someone else that understands it.

Love him. Great professor and outstanding guy. Guidelines are clearly stated at the beginning of the semester. Easy, easy A. Barely used the book but is helpful if you don't want to go to class.

Cares a lot about his students as well as the classes he teaches. Tries to incorporate student participation without forcing anyone to do anything. Sometimes repeats the same teachings, but I believe he does it to make sure everyone understand the material thoroughly.

Bradley has a bad record with the math department, but if you ever get the option to have Kasube, take it. He is the only math professor at Bradley worth listening to. No accent, lots of office hours, reasonable expectations.

He says he will give partial credit, but he never gives it. Make sure you have a brief understanding of calculus of calculous before taking this class.

He was extremely rude. He would always tell my class that if we didn't know the material it's not too late to drop. He did answer questions, sometimes. Usually he would ask you how to solve it, even if your question was how too. Homework is optional, but he gets very angry if you don't do it. He speaks CLEAR english though!

A teacher who really wants you to succeed. He sometimes loses focus in class, but he explains the material well and is very helpful in office hours. The material can be difficult, but he answers questions in class thoroughly and there are never any surprises on his quizzes or tests.

Speaks english which is good. Makes you feel dumb if you ask questions. The material should be easy to understand, but he makes it difficult. I suggest taking it at a community college.

AVOID. He is boring and mean, doesn't teach the material in a way you can understand. Not interactive at all, doesn't really care about the student either and isn't approachable. If you are bad at math, you will hate the class.

I regularly attended tutoring and office hours. You have to work for an A but if you put the work in it is easy. From what I hear a lot of Bradley Math professors are a lot worse. He speaks clear English which is nice.

Not sure what everyone else was talking about. I took him for MTH 300 (History of Mathematics) and it was relatively easy. I got an A in that class. He tells you what to study so if you study you will do just fine.
