Not a good teacher. She teaches to the lowest level, meaning class was slow and boring. Test questions were unclear, and you had to "guess" what she meant. Avoid her if you can (unfortunately if you are in CSE you probably can't)

had her for orientation too.I agree she acts like everyone is 5 and doesn't really teach anything. she spent a whole class trying to tell us what google earth was, like we didnt know, but she seemed to be amazed by it.also she can be somewhat rude if you ask her anything

Had her for orientation to eecs. Talks to all students as if we are 5 years old. The topics of her lectures are things that people should already know. If they don't, they shouldn't be in college. As far as announcements go, the entire purpose of the class can be replaced with an online calendar.

I had the misfortune of taking Dr. Standley three times. I had a hard time learning code from a professor who could neither write nor understand it. She had a decent knowledge of non-linear structures but seemed lost in linear structures.

Her reputation is undeserved, you just have to know how to work with her. She's not easy, but if you're willing to push to learn, she WILL help you to learn. Her grading is tough and the projects are weighted very heavily, but it's understandable why.

I have had this professor for 3 classes. She is the cure for insomnia. She is very anal about the programming projects. Do as the paper saids and you will be fine. All of her exams I did had at least 2-3 mistakes. But, I am all about the take home finals.
