Since he's a fluent native speaker, his ability to help you when you have questions about the language or when you are simply curious about something cultural is phenomenal. amazing prof! i was already fluent in arabic and still learned TONS, he challenges each person differently and ill give him tons of credit for keeping the class interesting with a story that has something to do with the subject for here to there.

Absolutely wonderful professor. Arabic is a difficult language, but he is extremely helpful and wants you to learn. He has a great sense of humor and goes beyond the text book. Yes, he can be a little intimidating at times, but that's why you study!

He is pretty intimidating, but very very helpful. I had a pretty awful teacher before him and was pretty lost when I came into his class, but he made sure that I got caught up and that I was understanding everything. Make sure you learn your vocab! I learned more in his class in the first few weeks than the whole semester before.

He is a very good teacher. I came in with previous Arabic knowledge so I didn't find the class too challenging. Otherwise you will need to work hard to learn the alphabet and language in general. He doesn't teach all that much, briefly goes over things like grammer. You do a lot of group work/in class work with the text. Hasn't been stern at all.

Pretty nice guy, can be intimidating, class VERY hard. Make sure to learn your vocab!!! He doesn't really teach that much..makes us do group work and figure things out for ourselves. He also doesn't have that much time to answer questions, kind of scary!
