Nicest woman you will ever meet. If you are polite and talk to her she will help you. If you talk or dont go to her classes she wont.Her tests are hard but hey its university. In the multicultural country of canada we have people who dont speak english as thier first language. If people get over thier closemindedness they would understand her.

I went to three of her classes and decided my time was better spent reading the textbook. Impossible to understand. I payed for this course and needed to pay for a tutor because I couldn't understand the professor. Extremely frustrated by the whole thing.

I can't believe how hard people are on her. She is perfectly understandable; her accent is not a problem. She is one of the kindest, most helpful, and most agreeable profs at Dal. I was never big on stats, but she held my interest throughout the course. Her test are hard but fair, and she's always available for extra help. Highly recommended.

Impossible to understand.Its difficult because she will have many examples but because you can't understand her,you don't know what the answers are.Suggest to her she includes the answers to the examples online.Thats really the only thing she does in class.Just study from the text book and you will be perfectly fine,even if you don't go to class.

Dr. Gu was a really good prof. The accent is a bit tough, but if you concentrate on the material she teaches and pay enough attention, you should have no problems. She is a very intelligent prof who knows her stuff and will try and help you as much as she can!
