Comes off as extremely arrogant. All he does is bash the textbook's view of probability... but all the assignments and the tests are based off the textbook. Very rude when you try to ask him questions. Very dry. His lectures are not useful at all because all he does is talk about the concepts but never applies them to anything.

Comment:

Accent makes it hard to follow. Always says how the book is stupid and that it does not follow his view of probibility, so he bashes it constantly, but pulls all assignment questions out of the book. I stopped going to class to learn it out of teh book. midterm is easy and exam is on 1.5 chapters of the book, both are very short.

This guy drove me insane. The first day of class he let's us know that his accent is fine and that you don't need to ask him to repeat anything. Then he states that since there is construction going on in the chase he doesn't have office hours...So how helpful is that???

He is a smart prof but he doesn't make it very interesting. he is really help full but you make sure that you get your ears waxed out before class b/c of his strong axent it is hard to follow. Also his major exams are quize. so there is no 1/2mark it is either 1 or zero. but over all fine prof.

Is difficult to understand until you get used to his accent. A lot of people don't seem to like him but I find he explains things well. Midterm was open book and follows it fairly closely; he told us on the first day that you could do well in the course just by reading the textbook. Assignments are relevant to course material.

Absolute worst prof I have ever had in any class from primary to third year @ Dal. Explains nothing, speaks unclearly, is very boring and admits to his own laziness. Would never take a class instructed by him even with a gun to my head. For people who need an extra hour's sleep this class is a must!

absolute worst prof i've had at dal. doesn't answer questions as well. when asked once before a test what material we should know, his answer was "I TOLD YOU ON THE FIRST DAY" and then he got mad. i will never takeanother class with him. very cold prof with absolutely no heart

While his accent can make it hard to understand, it gets clearer after a few minutes of listening. He is very knowledgable and definitely makes his opinions clear ("it's inference, not prob/stats!"). But the intensity and humor make the class enjoyable. Beware chatters: he won't tolerate you.
