Even though he does not grade attendance, if you want to have a chance of passing this class, then you HAVE to be in lecture. He goes over everything from the book in lecture and constantly does problems. The only grades are 2 tests (out of 3; lowest score is dropped) and the final exam. Book only uses chapters 5, 6, 7, 8 for Calc 2.

I had an A- before the final, ended up with a C. I prepared heavily, but the test was absurd. Zero ways to boost grade up, 3 tests only. Hard to hear during lectures. This class stopped me from a 4.0! Would recommend a different teacher. Study guides werent really study guides, some questions on tests, not quizzes, were 20pts each! Outrageous.

He is a very nice guy, just very hard to understand at times. The only reason I did so well to begin with is because I took this class at a different college. You will fail the course if you don't pay attention. He uses the textbook every class. Also assigns homework, but never looks at it or grades it. It's just great practice

He is hard to understand, and he changes his examples from in class on the test which makes it so difficult. You just don't know what to expect. I am in a position where I might not graduate due to him and I know I am not the only one with these difficulties.

Amazing teacher. Works with students. Extremely helpful when you don't get something. 3 tests total. Breaks test into different parts. He drops your lowest test grade. Assigns HW. Doesn't check it but do it, review for the test. Taking another math with him next semester.

I LOVED his class. He is an old guy but he's quite funny. He jokes around a little and gets us to relax. We have three tests that he divides up into different parts. But he drops the lowest grade and keeps the two other test grades. He is extremely helpful when you don't understand it. He assigns textbook HW. Doesn't check but good to do for review

Teaches mainly with examples instead of explaining the concept which you can then apply to any problem. I feel like I only got by because I new the material from High School. He does however make hilarious remarks while teaching which helps to pay attention and follow along to the material.
