He just likes to hear himself talk. Only took the class because it was required for our RAP. He had a few fun exercises, but rarely. Brought food for our last class, that was cool. Avoid this class if at all possible.

This class had real potential to be interesting but sucked. Lectures were boring and the exams were WICKED hard and hardly ever had to do with anythign that you learned in lecture. Do not take this class....even though theres a giant curve don't take it!

Guy is awful, just talks n talks n talks alll class while everyone just sits there and sleeps and pronounces status as (stay-tus) its so annoying everytime he does i want to correct him.. don't take this class its a waste of time.

One would think that a onehundred level class would be easy. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! If you want to lower your GPA go ahead. If not, aviod at all cost. Most boring class ever. TONS of reading, amazing hard exams. This semester out of 500 kids less than 10 passed. He had to scale them so much. Nice old man, but should have retired YEARS ago.

Awful. Doesn't care about his students, unsympathetic and his holier-than-thou act gets old very fast. He's bitter that he has a PHD and is only a college professor and takes it out on his students. Tests make no sense at all and starts questions with "According to Demerath" because he's a self-important jerk who thinks he's God's gift to Sociology

He's a really sweet old guy, but he's really old fashioned, and this shows in his class "rules" and his teaching style. It can be really hard to focus in class. His tests are also kind of tricky, he picks random stuff from the readings. but if you actually go to him to help, he's pretty nice about it.

I learned nothing. All exams were scaled at least 25 pts because no one knew what to expect. Professor Demerath is a torrid teacher. His lectures and readings were almost completely irrelevant to the material covered in the exams. I am an Englsih major and have never received less than a B on a paper, and he gave me a D. AVOID HIM AT ALL COST!
