WORST PROFESSOR ON CAMPUS. I could never understand him!!! He is a nice guy but not really willing to help that much from the times I went to his office hours. Don't take him unless you are really good at math. I am a student who sucks at math and he made it very difficult for me. I dropped the class.

Doesn't speak very clean English, get's a little rude when you ask a question. Doesn't speak English that well, and he get's confused when you ask him question. He just works the problems, and he does tell what's on the test. MyMathLab is more helpful then him.

Do not, under any circumstances, take this prof. Very rude in class if you ask questions or interrupt him. Difficult to keep up with. Accent is bad but he doesn't understand English very well and gets easily confused when students ask questions. Pretty much self teach class.

His English is not as bad as some people say. He's a good professor who knows what he's doing and is willingly to help outside of class. I'm not good at math, but he gives us helpful notes so you don't have to guess what the book is saying. Doing MyMath lab really helps with practice for the tests and to pass you just have to review and do the work

Mr. Hoss is a very caring professor. He does come off hard to understand at the beginning of the semester though. So, this does take some getting used to. With that said, however, if you go to his office he will be very helpful. He knows what he is doing, but he is not great with English, so he sometimes gets turned around when questions are asked.

His accent makes it hard to understand anything he says and just trust the other reviews as well when we say he's just a very bad professor. Take him for algebra if you want (because algebra is just easier), but don't take him for anything else. You're welcome.

Do not take Mr. Hoss for this class. He does not create good lectures, and he is very difficult to understand. Our lectures consist of watching him put examples of problems on the board, he doesn't specify which chapter the problems are from, you're left sitting there guessing.

Knows what he is doing. If you aren't comfortable with math then don't take him. He is a little hard to understand but go to his office hours and he will explain everything. Very nice guy outside of class. Do all of the practice problems he assigns before the test and it will be fine.

Came off a little rude, gets confused about students' questions, and soft spoken. He'll work problems but doesn't explain very well and snaps if you interrupt to ask a question. He's nice if you talk to him outside of class though. Not recommended for those who need more help in math.

Extremely nice person, pretty funny sometimes. He does have an accent and can be a little hard to understand, but it's honestly not that bad. Very fair grader, and he drops your lowest test grade. I struggled to pass math throughout high school, but I made a solid B in his class. Keep up with the work and you'll do fine :)

If you aren't great at math do not take this teacher. This class is meant for those who already know what to do. The teacher should not be allowed to teach, in fact, I'd like to sign a petition to get him fired. He is hard to understand and speaks broken English. He doesn't teach, he talks math.

Yeah... I know its math 098 but he tends to make you feel like a moron if you ask any questions. I hated his class, but, the Course Compass teaches you how to do everything, and he emails you reviews, so hes not that bad. Just hard to understand, and kind of rude.

He doesn't speek very clear English, and I'm not sure he knows he's saying the words wrong. He makes you feel stupid sometimes, maybe it's because it's 098, but we're in there for a reason. Don't ask a whole lot of questions because he makes it obvious that you should know the answer. But he does write EVERYTHING on the board.

this man is very understanding. If you have a problem, tell him and he will work to help you. he does have an accent, and it can be hard to understand, but it is not impossible. he will grade the test for you right after you take it, so u will get to see ur grade. i recommend this professor with the highest regard!!! :)
