Comment:

Hands down the worst professor I have ever had in my entire life and he needs to quit/be fired. Makes simple concepts impossible by being vague and unorganized in his lectures. Seemingly takes pleasure in his students failures. Gives an unnecessary and repetitive amount of hw just to make the questions on the exam completely different. He sucks.

I currently have him for Linear Algebra (which is by no means an easy subject), and I think he does a pretty good job explaining the concepts. The issues is him not explaining how to actually do a problem; he'll explain theories the entire class and never do an example that looks like a homework problem. Which makes homework much more difficult.

I was in his class for Calc 1, and he is a funny guy. BUT he is a quiz mania. He never took the homework, but whenever he wanted to, than it will be a quiz. It is pretty random and no pattern at all. His test is undoubtedly hard. It is a tough choice. But he is also willing to upgrade your grade if you on the edge. That's how I get A- from B.

The class felt more like an English course than a math one. He corrects in text citations that are in fact done properly and counts off large sums of points for this. Almost all the work in the course was papers and on tests he didn't allow enough time. He also never taught the math till the day previous to the test. He is rude and unhelpful.

Dr. Levan's class was tough, but yeah, calculus can be tough. He still managed to explain it really clearly, and was always available during office hours.

He's surely a goofball, and has a wonderful personality -- BUT DON'T MISS CLASS. When he notices someone missed class, that's when he takes up assignments. If you don't turn in two HW assignments, you'll have a low C in the class. He also goes out of his way to come up with challenging test questions and you also aren't allowed to use calculators.

He's not very helpful at all. He tries to be sarcastic and funny, but his jokes can come across as inappropriate and mean sometimes. He often disregards things that the book teaches and does his own thing during lecture, leading to confusion during the tests. He likes to make his tests challenging and the study material easy.

This teacher is awful. He never explains things well and will not work with you if you need accommodations or request help. I came in loving math and am leaving hating it. He is also very snide and rude.

This professor is a nice enough guy, but he's snide and very sarcastic. He likes to only go over easy problems, and then comprise his test of the hardest questions he can write. It can be extremely frustrating and tiring, and he's not very helpful. He's also made fun of me in front of visitors, which really offended me and my visitors.

You're better off learning the material from the textbook on your own time than counting on his lecture to teach you everything (which is the way it should be, in my opinion). His classes certainly aren't boring, but if you're a math major, you might desire a bit more of a challenge than what you'll get from him.

I do not care for Dr. LeVan. Class is one snide comment followed by the next. He's not very good at actually listening to students' questions, instead treating everyone equally as idiots. He underestimates the willingness of his students to learn, and overestimates his own prowess as a professor. I would not recommend Mike LeVan.

Coolest nerd on the faculty. Is more sensitive about his age than any woman I've ever met. Keeps the class light hearted but still managers to get his point across. Extremelly helpful and nice during office hours, as well. Make sure to know your Simpsons quotes.
