I had him years ago and he still stands out as one the most brilliant instructors I have ever had. Seems like his teaching style & his ability to lead discussions, belongs more in an ivy league school than Winthrop. His class is difficult if you procrastinate (which I did). If you do the assignments and enjoy critically thinking you will be fine.

Excellent professor, brillant! Some people may not like him bc he is challenging. He has an ability to find flaws in both sides of arguments on the spot. If you are open minded you will love his class, and learn a lot. Highly reccomend if you are a critical thinker

How the hell do you fail Philosophy 101? The answer, take the course as taught by Craighead. I was at every class, took notes, but could never finish the essay tests due to time constraints. I went to Prof. Craighead to see if I could write a paper or something to make a passing grade since it was my final semester in college. He refused to work with me on anything. I had to pay for a Maymester gen. ed. course in order to graduate on time.

Craighead is your typical philosophy professor. He's very hard, expects a lot out of you, but is an excellent teacher. Seems like an @$$ sometimes, but is willing to help you out if you make the effort.

This class is freakin HARD. He gives maybe 4 days between tests. You have no time to study and then he gives at least 40 homework problems. If you're very smart like me, you might get a B.

Winthrop's best professor! He is tough but he will change your life if you are open and receptive. He makes you think. Most students believe he is telling them they are wrong. He tries to make them think about the material and their questions.
