Comment:
I don't know how difficult Fegan would've made the class since he wasn't the one who wrote the homework and tests. His lectures aren't that great; spends too much time on things that don't need that much time on, and blows over the stuff that needs explaining. As the material gets harder, his examples become less helpful.

Terrible teacher. Lectures are theoretical and he goes on about things not really relevant to the course for too long. You'll do better if you just tune him out during lectures and read the textbook yourself or go to another professors lectures. Make sure to go to recitation.

Comment:
Fegan obviously likes teaching math, but the examples are confusing to follow and the explanation is non existent. Sometimes I regretted even showing up. Know your material before even considering going to class. The TA was the best (Steve). He explained everything clearly with relevant examples! If you decide to go to class, make it worth it.

He seems like he loves teaching, however, he is horrible at it. One of the worst teachers that I have had here. Not clear at all. Gave extremely confusing examples. The only reason I'm doing well in the class is because I have quite possibly the best TA ever. Shoutout to Steve.

Dodson is the worst but fegan is very close. Totally out of touch with what the students need to comprehend. To pass the class i tune him out every lecture and just read directly from the book. Most people do the same and they tend to be more successful than those who try to learn from his lectures. The recitation is also a must.

Fegan is not a good professor, but he isn't as bad as Dodson. Avoid these two. Class started with 85 students, by the end only 20 showed up and the rest went to a different professor's lecture, myself included. pay attention in recitation. Fegan uses examples that are too complicated and don't get the point across. Calc 3 is naturally difficult

Very good teacher. The class itself is just really tough. Don't recommend skipping any lectures. Recitations are what will get you through the class. Keep up with the work and utilize your TA.

If you have an alternative to taking Fegan for Calc 3, pursue it. But if you don't it's not the end of the world. He loves math and teaching it, but he's out of touch with his students. I wouldn't recommend skipping lectures, but you learn most of the material in recitation. Homework and grading are definitely fair and reasonable.

Comment:
Professor Fegan presents the material well, with equal emphasis on theory and examples. However, he tends to drift off topic, and although his tangents are often interesting, he will lose track of time and be unable to cover everything. Be sure to read the textbook very thoroughly and attend every recitation to make sure you don't miss anything.

Honestly one of the worst professors I've had at Lehigh. His lectures were boring and I never had any idea what was going on. Going to class seemed pointless because I would end up just having to teach myself again anyway.

Most arrogant, narcissistic professor at Lehigh. Constantly reminds you in lecture about what you students don't know and can only find out by taking a higher level math course. Just an overall rude person. British accent doesn't even sound cool.

Love him as a person - he often makes tangents related to everyday life which I find entertaining. He's a decent lecturer, although I was constantly confused as to the direction he was going in lectures until I started at least skimming the textbook before I came to class. There might be better professors out there, but I wouldn't avoid him.

He loves math but can't explain it at all. You would be better off watching Khan academy or reading notes online. He didn't even cover everything and did not help clarify what he did teach.

Direct quote from another student "he paralyzes the mind." Many people have to go to different lectures taught by different teachers just to get by. He rarely does examples, and is extremely theoretical.

Not amazing, but not terrible. He gets you through the material well enough. I would definitely choose him over certain other 205 professors (*coughDodsencough*). His lecturing can be a bit unclear sometimes, and he tends to veer off-topic. He is weirdly obsessed with the etymology of math terms and it gets annoying sometimes. Read the textbook.
