He wrote his own book so good luck on trying to get points that are not exactly what he says. Quiz every week grades them really hard. Doesnt explain things very well, uses jokes all the time, cool and all but I didnt pay money to get a comedian. He always says im right because I said so kinda guy. Not cool. Even my advisor said no good on him.

Uncle Howie is the man! I took the 3 week summer course and it's really enjoyable I highly suggest you take this version of the class. You have a "surprise" quiz everyday. Don't worry he tells you whats on them and they're really easy as long as you do the reading and review the notes.

This class was SO hard!! If you have no prior knowledge of this class then you will have NO idea what is going on. He goes very quickly through the material and thinks that you should understand it quickly. Seemed pretty arrogant..and I thought overall he was a jerk.

Absolutely the most thought provoking class I've had. Professor Congdon is animated, funny and dynamic. I can truthfully say my mind was stretched and massaged. Take this class for a Humanities Seminar you'll not regret it.

the class wasn't too bad, but it gets boring sometimes. there is only one open NOTE exam (final), and several one page pager plus pop quizes. you don't know when you will get them till you do. he is somewhat helpful, but you gotta read his book and take good notes to get good grades.

By the end of the semester I was completely bored and over the class. I attended every class religiously for extra bonus points you can recieve. I studied for almost every "pop quizzes" and I still am only going to manage a c+ or B-. If you put the work into it and truly understand what he is talking about, it shouldn't be too difficult.
