He is very rude. I would ask for help and he would never answer my question, and just tell me that I should know the answer. He didn't show that he cared about success. I would say that he is the worst professor that I have ever had. There was a book a week of reading. He treats this class as if it was a 400 level calss not an intro class.

Prof Richmond was 1 of the reasons why I switched from being a Gov't Major. His class is boring & he's very sarcastic. I felt uncomfortable going to him for help or even asking questions. He makes you participate in class, but when he asks you your opinion, he always comes back with a snide remark. Didn't like that AT ALL.

Very hard grader. Not so well informed as he claims to be especially about former USSR. I'm Russian so I could tell. Not very understanding when it comes to lateness. No matter what the excuse is. Had to take his classes per my major but otherwise AVOID him.

Great Prof. One of the best GOV. undergrad teachers at U.C. If your a Gov. major it is likely you will have to take a class with him but rest assured, it will be interesting. P.S. do not dress in costume for presentations or mispronounce important words, use cell phones, whine or be late all the time. He doesn't like that :)

I learned a lot from Professor Richmond's geography class. You will eventually know all of the capitals and countries in the world, but you will only be quizzed on a certain section of the world each week, so it isn't really that hard if you study. Richmond is also funny, and presents information in an interesting way. You should take this course!

i hated him. i always have done well in school, but as of now i have a c- in his class. u have to memorize all the countries and their capitals, thats not the hard part, the tests are what brings u down. u probably have to study for a month to past them. but it is passable, u just have to show up and try to participate and STUDY!

Prof. Richmond is the best teacher that I have had at Utica College. He goes over a great amount of material in an extremely organized and effective way. He makes it easy to learn. If I am ever a teacher, I plan to copy his teaching style. I would highly recommend taking one of his classes to anyone, as you will leave with much new knowledge.

The syllabus didn't lie when it said "This is one of the hardest classes that you will take." A lot of memorizing and extremely hard tests but you learn alot for him. He knows his stuff for sure!

He is not an easy A, but he is a good teacher. He makes you think, so be ready to work. Come to class and participate and you'll do fine. Tests were hard. Don't think of this course as a 100 level course, however, I looked forward to the class.
