The course material is hard, but he tries to lecture the material to the best of his ability. He is kind of hard to understand because of his accent. He gives a LOT of ex credit. Basically everyone will pass even if u didn't do well on the midterm or final as long as you show the effort. He is very sweet and wants you to do well. 2 tests, 4 HW asgn

This is my 5th year having Dr. Huan Feng for a Oceanography Class online. I currently have him for BIOL 460 (Biological Oceanography). I'm a Oceanography major and Dr. Huan Feng is the only Oceanography Professor on Campus so he is my Academic Advisor at the moment and was my Advisor for the past 4 years since my major was Oceanography.

Had Dr. Huan Feng last year for EAES 456 (Physical Oceanography). This is a online class and he makes the class fun. My major is in Oceanography and he is the only Oceanography professor on campus so I had him in the past for EAES 150 (General Oceanography), EAES 350 (Oceanography), and EAES 455 (Field Methods in Oceanography).

I had Dr. Huan Feng last year for EAES 455 (Field Methods in Oceanography). This is an online class. Dr. Feng speciality is in Oceanography so he is really good for any oceanography class. None of his class are in-person, just online. But, I would recommend this class to anyone who's interested learning about Oceans.

This is my second time having Dr. Huan Feng. I had him last year for EAES 150 (General Oceanography) which was online and now for EAES 350 (Oceanography) online course. One thing that would be really nice is an in class Oceanography class instead of online. Overall he is a really good professor for Oceanography.

I feel like Dr. Huan Feng is a great professor for EAES 150 (General Oceanography). He loves talking about Oceans 24/7. He loves teaching all kinds of Oceanography classes and topics. I would recommend this professor. The only issue is that this class is online and not in person.

I took this course online in the summer and it was one of the easiest classes. There were 4 HW assignments worth 10 points each and a final. HW assignments had 5 or 6 questions right from the book-he even gives you reference answers. Same thing with the final, as long as you answer in depth you're good. Easy A.

He's hard to understand at first but you get used to it. He's not as bad as his rating suggests his lectures are boring, but that's just the nature of the course. He gives the you so many chances to get a good grade. He gives the answers for his HW and the exams are curved. Attendance is easy extra credit. I got D- on the midterm and still got an A

I took this course in the summer, online. I never saw the professor. It was insanely easy. There was only 4 homework assignments and 1 final, each about 10 questions which needed long answers. Excluding the final, the answers are posted on blackboard. Use them as a guide and use the book and internet. Easy A. He answers emails quickly.

Super nice, willing to help, actually cares about his students and teaching. He is difficult to follow and understand, so I don't recommend taking his classes, but if you do, or if you need to, don't worry, you will get through it.

OMG!! i dont know how i got A in his class, but defienitly boring professor, couldn't understand his english though!!!! i wouldn't recommend his class unless you just like to sit in his class and go to sleep..Which he wouldn't let cuz he caught me so many times lol..but I was one of his favorite students!!!

Dr.Feng is very nice as a person but I wouldn't have taken this class if I knew it was going to be like this. He has a very thick accent and his exams are hard, class is boring so it's hard to pay attention. Unless you're really into this subject, don't take it.

First off, Feng is a good guy. His classes are not. He's a very good professor, just a bit hard to understand. GNED 201 is a damn awful class, but it's a Core I req so you kinda have to take it. Feng himself is a good professor, he knows his stuff and is very willing to help.

terrible class as well as professor. every 2 weeks there's a different professor but Feng teaches every monday lectures. his quizes are a nightmare. hard to understand, actually you cannot no matter how hard you try. tough grader. no consistency. take any other class but this one. gives you unclear answers to questions. 5 assignments :(

he managed to screw an entire class of students. i had 5 different professors before the semester was even half over! seems they dont have enough material or willing teachers to fill course. he lectured one day, another teacher babysat us for group projects another. learned about nothing but the shortcomings of this unviersity.
