This professor didnt give back grades for2 of 3 HWs until the end of the semester. The HWs had nothing to do with his lecture. You have to do HWs base on self learning almost completely. Prof is kind of lazy.

you gottta be prepared for this guy. He's too smart for his own good. 313 will be the hardest class you have taken so far. He goes very quick and the work is extremely hard. You will not like him or the class during the semester. Looking back he is a good guy and i enjoyed him as a professor. go to his office hours and he is a different teacher.

Overall a good professor, although you may hate him during the semester. Pushes you to new heights if you wish to go there. Lots of independent work necessary, take responsibility for your own learning! If you are this far in MIE you can handle it. Tends to lecture very fast, but read along in the book, its really not too bad.

He's a really tough teacher, and forces you to learn a lot of things on your own. Overall though his methods do force you to know what you need to know. He didn't teach us how to use mathcad, but by learning it on my own I feel pretty confident in my ability to figure things out. The project forces you to learn on the go as well.

Terrible professor. Assumes the class recalls everything from calculus, and mocks students that ask questions about what he deems as simple. Goes through material way too quickly, and assigns very lengthy homeworks, mostly due to the face that we are made to teach ourselves the material, or how to use MathCad and ANSYS. Worst teacher I've ever had.

313 is probably the hardest class I've taken so far in MIE. Prof. Grosse is knowledgeable of the subject, but goes really fast when teaching. You've got to pay 100% attention and ask a lot of questions or you will get lost. He's helpful if you seek help. The project is the biggest part of the grade and should take priority.

Teaching style is horrible. Grading is subjective. Doesn't seem to know all that much of the material, disagrees with the text, without rhyme or reason, and assigns rediculous assignments. If possible, avoid this professor, or be prepared to kiss up everyday to him.

Boring class-he isn't clear. One of those BS classes, just have to play along, do a little of what he covered in class each day, put it in notebook-he wants detail. But watch out-youll have no time to do project-last week of class don't plan on doing any work for any other classes.
