This was a class where we spoke with mentors about cyber-security, mentors weren't great. Tons of group work, as it's a bunch of memos and weekly videos that the mentors review. Probably didn't even read articles in full since the first week, easy mini-assignments though.

Great professor overall, only ten labs for the whole class. Not super bad at all, he's also available outside of class if you have questions. Just swing by his office if you're really confused.

The class is boring if you know a little about computers and the internet. Three tests that are 25% each. First one was fair difficulty for the most part but enough people did poorly that the second and third are online so easier there. 5 homework assignments that make up the last 25%, easy enough. Meet once a week, online lectures, long lectures.

Great teacher! Fun, loving, so happy to teach and to be teaching us! He knows everything, loves having people come to office hours. Wants you to do well. He is willing to give out bad grades. But he will help you as much as he can. Be open, be present, and you will get an A.

Incredibly friendly and approachable. Cracks jokes and makes lectures entertaining. The subject itself is pretty difficult(discrete math).Thus, his tests are pretty difficult. However, he is a more fair grader than other professors of this course at Albany, so if you have to take it, take it with MacDonald.

Prof. MacDonald does an excellent job at covering the material necessary in industry and graduate-level entrance exams, and leaving out the extra fluff. Class was 2 tests and a final(which was 23 material after the 2nd test). Class is scaled, so your final grade will most likely be higher than your raw test grades. Homework comes direct from book.

He's really interested in the subject matter, tries to be helpful and can go through things really fast. he's kind of hilarious. His quizzes are easy if you study the slides/your notes & you get a cheat sheet for tests. The projects are kind of a hassle, but interesting. class is more fun if you participate in his discussion. Overall a great prof.
