Not only does jim know Psychology, he can also explain it so a newcomer can understand it. His real-life illustrations help and so does his fantastic sense of humour. He also is willing to spend time helping you. I wish he taught other courses too. Score him "excellent!"

Dr. McConkey is a fantastic teacher. He teaches the material so it is interesting and so we can use it in real life. The way we used the psychology of learning and memory in the group work to prepare for tests really helped. Now I use it in other courses too. A+ for Jim!

Jim taught us HOW to learn using the principals of psychology. Work in groups helps to prepare for tests and his examples help us remember. The videos add to the book and make it clearer. He really helped me with a personal decision I had to make. He is nice but don't come in late.

Such a great teacher. He made the class interesting and fun. He encouraged us to do well and had a helpful review system before tests. My only complaint is that he showed boring videos from the 70s that definitely need to be updated!!
