Prof. Bell is a brilliant scholar and a devoted teacher. She knows a huge amount about Renaissance literature, history, and culture, and makes it come alive in vivid ways. Her enthusiasm for the poetry is contagious.

I've been in school for 16 years, and Ilona Bell is literally the wost professor I've ever had. Doing well in her class is defined by being able to say frequently and in a sincere tone, "I really liked the imagery..." Just be careful not to say anything else; she's got a mean streak.

Prof Bell is absolutely in love with her subject matter. If you seek her out for help she's incredibly patient and insightful and on top of that just very sweet and generous. Whoever wrote that nasty review must have really tried to get on her bad side!
