Ingrid is not the real teacher for 101 - you get a TA for the class and how you do in the class depends on how good your TA is and how good you are at algebra. It's good to consult the Help Room for the homework as it is graded harshly. If you don't show up to class, your grade will tank. If you're required to take 101, just hope for a good TA.

I enrolled in Math 101-Data Driven. I had no idea what this course was about, but I ended up enjoying it despite the numerous word problems & math projects. However, she did teach me to understand the importance of the calculations. She accepted homework until her office hours were over & she always sent us reviews for our exams.

You will never see the professor. How you do in the class depends not the TA that you get. Most of the TA's are good, but you cant garuntee that you'll get a good one. You may receive one email from the actual professor. There are several exams.

Amazing teacher and easy class as long as you are willing to put in the work to learn the material. The help room is GREAT and so are the TA's who work in it. As long as you do all of the homework and show up to class you will definitely pass.

Ingrid is an excellent professor. She cares about her students and their success and you will really stand out to her if you answer questions and participate (she will go easier on grading if she sees you making an effort). I took the data driven class and it was a very easy A.

I have never seen Ingrid in my entire life, and I took this class twice. You have a TA, so pray that they are organized. I'm not saying that my first TA was the reason I withdrew the first time, but it was definitely a contributing factor. Basically, if you don't want to stress out like I did the first time, print the notes and do the work.

TA's teach the class (Garrett Hages is the best TA just fyi) but there is a math help room that is available every day of the work week. Tests are not super hard, homework is easy bc of the help room. Easy A!

You don't actually have Ingrid as a teacher its a TA. So you better wish that you get a good TA because when you do you're golden.

I took Math 101 because it is required for graduation, as do most students in that class. Your grade completely depends on your TA and how much time you are willing to spend going to get extra help. I've never even seen Ingrid, I don't know what she does because she certainly doesn't tech the classes or even grade the tests/assignments.

You'll most likely get a TA for the class, and that determines how well you do. There are a lot of resources available, there is a 40-point curve in the class, and you can retake tests. I consider myself to be pretty weak at math but will be receiving a "B" in the class.

This class is pretty easy, as long as you show up to class and participate. My TA was named Jake and he was really helpful. I liked the helproom because someone would help me with the entire assignment, so I never missed a point with HW.

this class will bring your GPA down A LOT! It is always taught by a TA and usually the TA does not know how to teach or answer questions with clarity. Whenever you have a question the TA will tell you to go to the help room full of other TA's that don't know what they are doing. try to find another student that passed and ask for help. Good luck.

Do not take this course online. As a very experienced online math student, I was endlessly frustrated. You may only access textbook or assignments while online (a pain w/o home Internet) unless you pay extra for text. Access to ext. course site was DISABLED the night before the final, despite posted late hw deadline. Bad software, bad setup, bad idea. Go thru JCCC.

This class was incredibly hard. The TA's that taught it were unhelpful. My TA was an English major... Ingrid obviously doesn't seem to realize that her students have classes other than math, and in order to get a passing grade an immense amount of time and effort is required. This is the class for the people who suck at math, so why is it so hard?

It's taught by all TA's that can be helpful or suck...a lot. Hard course, put in the time and a LOT OF EFFORT and you'll get a B. Things to know there are 4 tests, a quiz every thursday and HW counts for a lot. Also you can retake 2 of your lowest scores. Maintain a 9 or 10 on quizzes and a 75 or higher on tests and GO TO CLASS, you'll get a B.

Ingrid Peterson doesn't teach the class, but it is actually taught by TAs. Depending on your TA, it can be difficult. Mine, thankfully, was a great teacher, so it wasn't too difficult. I recommend using MyMathLab Study Plan. It helps a lot in preparation for the tests. Also, use the drop-in for extra assistance.

You will most likely not get Peterson as your professor so don't base your schedule off that- you will most likely get a TA who is only a year older than you. USE THE HELP ROOM. There is never anyone in there and tutors just waiting to help people. The homework is fairly simple if you pay attention. Attend class. Attendance is usually required.

Yeah its a hard class but if you work hard its quite easy to get an A. There was a help room and offered lots of tutoring and my TA was amazing. I will be honest, if you get a crappy TA you're kind of screwed. But for the most part, Ingrid does a lot to support students
