Ingrid is an awesome professor. She made the class very interesting and fun. Minimal lectures, but much discussion. One group project. I would definitely recommend taking Women and US Society and/or any class with Ingrid.

Don't be too scared of the reading thing--it's the normal amount one would expect from the college level. She's extremely interested in student feedback and contribution and let us carry the conversations, steering only when needed. Taking her class was thoroughly enjoyable and I'd do it again!

The best professor I've had thus far. Ingrid is so easy going and fun to be around. You don't need your textbook at all because her lectures cover everything that will be on the test, which is why you have to go to class! After taking her class I've been so interested in politics. Love her!

Comment:

Political Philosophy. It was one of my favorite classes. Very engaging. Riedle is very kind and she's willing to help. Heated debates but it was a lot of fun. Sparknotes came in handy for books. Easy and intriguing. Took her class in Fall 2012 during the election. She inspired me to go into politics and I love it.

Too many students in the class to allow having four exams debate and presentation. Exams are three weeks apart and have no direct correlation to text which you should not waste your money on. Debate are every three weeks apart and presentation is last week leaves no time to learn material. You have to learn on your OWN. Speaks with heavy accent.

Such an amazing, nice, funny, pretty teacher. She is german and wonderful. You have to pay attention in the class but there is no homework or reading. Only 3 tests which she gives you the questions before you take them. Best class ever, with her.

Such a great teacher. i had her and i learned so much. we went on a field trip to china town and meditated in the park. You learn so much. i didn't think I would like this class because I hate history but Ingrid made it current and interesting. not a hard class but very informative. I would recomend her to anyone.

Ingrid is awesome, shes smart and smoking hot. Shes great to talk to and the class is really easy. She explains everything really well and in an intresting manner, however Kim is a little outthere and is all over the place. You do really cool stuff and learn cool things in this class. mystical consciousness is a HUGE blowoff class. its writing intensive but all you do is 4 essays, 4 pages about what you think about the class. ingrid is very kind & has a nice accent b.c shes from germany. but watch out she teaches with kim mccarthy, who is pretty wacked. you do weird/cool stuff like rituals in grant park. i HIGHLY recommend this!
