Dr. A is amazing professor. He knows how to teach and cares his students. He doesn't have any attendance policy which is fantastic! You don't really have to show up for his class to get an A grade. He only takes 4 exams which is like 9th grade algebra exam. Just show up for the exam date for easy A.

Dr. A is a decent prof. His teaching ability isn't bad, but slightly lazy. He works very few example problems, so you definitely need to read the textbook and possibly other sources. His tests are by no means easy, but they are relevant what's covered. You must work more problems than he assigns; he doesn't assign enough to prep for the test.

A dry sense of humor. I had him once and from what other students said, he wasn't very good with out of class help as he got frustrated easily. I never personally visited him for help. He explains the work thoroughly and expects you to do the homework, although he doesn't check it. You need to or you will fail almost definitely. I would recommend.

Dr A is an awful professor! He shows little concern for students to actually learn the material. He gets frustrated with students when he has to review some material that should already be known. He is not approachable for help and come to class in gym attire. His tests are less than 10 questions and multiple choice which leaves no room for error.

Once you understand his teaching method he is extremely easy. Dont worry about the number of graded assignments and the midterm grade he curves. I made a 38 on the 1st test and a 75 on the 2nd test with no other grades I ended with a B. attendance is not mandatory but will help pass the class. his tests are less then 10 questions but dont sweat it.

Very intelligent professor. Sometimes doesn?t get message across very clearly. At first I had a hard time understanding his teaching methods but about half way through I began to really benefit from his teaching. Many people did not like him because of the difficulty level of his class but I enjoy a good challenge. Good help during office hours.

I appreciated the little bit of help i did recieve but this professor needs to take a refresher course on how to teach. he would tell us not to use our brains when answering a math problem because we would never get it right!!! he wanted us to use the calcu. but trying to figure out the calcu. was just as hard as the foreign language he was speakn

Avoid taking math one semester if Argyros is your only choice. Instructors usually switch classes every semester, maybe you'll luck out and get a better instructor.

Hardly lectured, he mostly did problems on the board, while the class copied his work. There was no class participation at all.

I liked Dr. Argyros a lot for his dry sense of humor (maybe just because I am from Europe too..)and how easy his class was. I also believe that he is a genious!

An acquired taste. He's a good teacher and seems to really care about how the students do. Occasionally he can seem to be a little condescending, but it's mainly people misunderstanding his very dry, Greek sense of humor. His tests are too short (like 3-4 questions a piece), though very easy. Missing a question can kill your grade.

Very hard to understand, and sense of humor is like fire to a caveman, kinda not there. But he does teach the material well, and if you still don't get it after class he helps. I wouldn't suggest taking him but if you have no choice, you're not toally screwd.
