He actually wants you to learn in his class. He wants you to pay attention, but who doesnt want to be listened to?! You are required to come to class which is your benefit. Take notes and pay attention to his lectures. Every quiz/test question comes directly from his lecture.

some people need to realize that this is college not the little leagues hes a very tough prof. but if you go to his office hours, show up for class do your homrk and do the reading you do really well i really seemed to like me and because of that my points at the end of term showed i was supposed to get a B but I got an A because i showed i cared

Comment:

Very tough class. The assignments were easy but also hardly did anything for your grade even with a 100%. His lectures had nothing to do w/ the quizzes which were trick questions mostly. Lectures were boring and very strict about attendance. I studied for about 8-10 hours for the final and still received a C. I highly recommend a different prof.

Assigned seating, points off if you are late. 6-8 pages of notes every day. His lectures are all over the place and annoying to listen to. Impossible exams with trick questions and he doesn't care if you pass or fail, I would strongly recommend getting a new professor! Worst history class for sure.

Assigned seats. Mandatory attendance. If you miss a class, you miss getting any notes. Showed up to every class and still struggled through the course. No late assignments. No make-up anything. Nothing covered in class is on the Exams! Definitely harder than a 100 level course. I recommend getting a different professor. Nice guy. Awful professor.

Tests are very hard and lectures are very boring. Also you are not allowed to use the restroom during class or leave early. You get 5 no shows and you have to take liberal notes off of his powerpoints all class every class.

I am a straight A student and I could not pass this class. The material he covers has nothing to do what is on the test which are pretty much impossible. There is no way to stay focused in his class and he never gives any notes to help you. Points are pretty much all tests. Do not stay in this class!!

terrible prof. lectures arent bad but nothing he says is on the test. he uses external sources for lectures and says to read the book but once again, nothing is on the test. hes rude and doesn't respond to emails. offers students to make up an assignment they didnt do only to those who DIDNT do it, not ones who got a bad grade. DONT TAKE HIS CLASS

The most difficult class I've had thus far in college. You are expected to read atleast 170 pages per week just for his class, not including homework. You only have one mid-term and one final. If you do bad on the mid-term you should drop the class.

There is so much covered, and you only have two big tests to make the grade. I hated how you'd turn in your homework on days where your group (based on last names) was assigned. If you didn't look to see when to turn it in, you're screwed. I think it's time for Ike to retire...hard class.

I had him a few years ago as a sophomore and it was terrible. Over 1/2 of our huge lecture had dropped before midterm and I was hanging on in hopes that I would do well on the final. I have an overall GPA of 3.9 and I can tell you this class is why I don't have a 4.0. I worked my ass off too and nearly had a mental break down. He's RUDE too!!!!!!!!

Worst Prof I have ever had. He is rude and disrespectful to students and everyone alike. Tests are nearly impossible to handle and I have never had a prof who was so hard to follow in lectures. Please tell me what the Battle of Waterloo was doing on a World War 1 Map. Do everything in your power to get out of this class.
