Irm Haleem was one of the best professors at NU, too bad the department cut her. I loved every class with her. She was born Pakistani and lived in Saudi Arabia and had a very balanced view of politics in the Middle East.

Best teacher at NU bar-none. Class is great, and if you're interested in world wide politics you need to have her atleast once. Papers are easy and the grades fair. Don't take for an easy grade, but do take if you have the interest. Damn she's fiiinnnee..... (Not really but great teacher!)

Irm the worm! This lady screwed everyone! she throws her pop quizzes on patriots day when you know nobody is gonna drive into boston for class. Then you get a 0 on the quiz. Barak was pissed about it but she didnt care!

Very good teacher. Challenging, but deffinately the best person to learn this stuff from. Besides Baren and Nasong'o (both grad students), she's the only competent professor I've met at this university. Also my advisor and quite helpful.

In my opinion, Professor Haleem does not make herself available to her students and is not very helpful overall. Mideast Government, which I took, was incredibly difficult at times, entirely because of her militant demeanor.
