Dr. George will make you think about the world in ways you would have never even thought were possible. She changed my world view in one class. Yes, she is a hard grader and can be intimidating, but she is absolutely worth it.

Comment:
Dr. George was the most inspiring, challenging professor I had at Gordon. I credit the classes I took with her as being singly responsible for the complete transformation of my entire worldview. My only regret is that I didn't get closer to her outside of class because I was intimidated by her brilliance and wisdom.

I can honestly say nothing has changed the way i see and live in the world more than Ivy George's classes. Her intelligence and small stature create one of the most intimidating, yet understanding teachers I have ever had. She does not challenge her students, instead she engages her students to such a level they are forced to challenge themselves

Dr. George is the best thing Gordon's got going as far as I am concerned. She's no-nonsense and I think this off-sets some students, but has nothing to do with her teaching ability. I took four of her classes and remember all the texts, insights and epiphanies well because her teaching style mandates that you engage critically.

Took George for Diversity, she is absolutely brilliant. It is a tough subject, but you will honestly learn so very much. My favorite class of the semester by far. I can't emphasize how much I've learned from George. She is challenging intellectually, class work wasn't too bad as long as you did your reading. Lots of reading, well worth it.

Professor George will challenge you beyond what you can imagine. You will leave her classes more informed, more convicted and more knowledgable than you thought possible. Don't be thrown off by her size. She packs a punch.
