Comment:

No one likes a speech class, but she made it survivable. Focused on improvement rather than on total perfection. It's important to always show up, and show effort over the semester. Very helpful; take-home final. One group presentation. Understanding, funny, easy to learn from, and helpful!

Fabulous teacher! Jana is very easy to talk to and will clarify anything you do not understand. She has a great sense of humor and makes the class very fun. I would definitely recommend her, but don't worry about buying the book. The test is based off her lectures.

She's certainly in my list of the top 5 teachers I've ever had. She's great. She's funny, tells interesting stories, and keeps the class engaging. All you have to do is go to class, do the work, and particpate and you'll have a good time. I think we all need more professors like her.

I love Jana!! She is an amazing teacher and woman! The class is so easy and interesting! She makes it fun and is very flexible. She always went off on tangents in class but that is what made it fun. Totally recommend her to anyone!

She is VERY helpful. Do not hesitate to ask her when you have a question or anything. She even helped me find a temporary internship at Dennis Cardoza's office for a class. You'll learn a lot from her, whether it be about the subject you are taking or not. She's a lot of fun!!!

Awesome teacher: funny, entertaining, very engaging. Our group activities are interesting, although not original. The book isn't necessary; her tests are easy if you've taken notes/paid attention. Be prepared to put time into your small group, outside of class. I'd definitely recommend her, and this class is much better than public speaking!
