Comment:
Professor Coleman is a kind, interesting, and understanding professor and person. He listens to students and takes their comments into consideration. He does assign a lot of readings, but you don't have to read them all (or read them carefully) to do well on tests.

Nice Guy. My only porblem was the amount of readings . The numbers of papers due were not that little either. I wished the class was more structured, but still overall I would take the class again. Highly recommended.

Professor Coleman is very sweet, and well-meaning I think. The semester I took his class was the semester of the Iraq invasion and boy, did he have a lot to say about that! I think we spent about 1/4 of each class talking about the evils of war. The academic part of the class was quite laid back and fun too since classics students do their work!

Sweetest man alive. His class covers some difficult material, but he doesn't grade that hard. He basically just wants people to start thinking about where greek art and architecture comes from, and understand its evolution. He's a little disorganized, but it's not as if you can't read the book.

Amazing teacher. If you are not a slacker and actually belong in Cornell, you will do fine.

Coleman insists on inundating you with extreme left propaganda and hounding the class on the evils of the Bush administration. He's entitled to his opinion, but I'm not paying him to teach me how to get inaccurate information...

The guy really knows and loves his stuff, but he presents it in an incredibly disorganized fashion. On the other hand, he doesn't grade hard--if you can write, you won't be too badly off. The subject matter is interesting.
