comp 1. hes crazy easy. I got an A in the class without even trying. I literally wrote one essay during the entire semester. if its optional DONT WRITE ONE. it will only bring your grade down. read what he tells you to read though because he will quiz you on it.the only problem is you don't learn anything.and now im completely screwed for comp2!!

Well I just sat in class on my phone the whole time playing doodle jump. I'm not into english so I could care less. I put no effort into this class at all and managed to get a B. all his essays are optional, if you're not a good essay writer.. don't waste your time writing them. Taking him again for comp 2!

What seems to be throwing some people is that he treats everyone as an equal. Professors tend to get lost in their element and forget they're teaching rooms full of masters of other crafts. He doesn't. He knows not everyone is a strong writer or wants to be, and so he lets people be as engaged as they're going to be. Essays are optional.

Really this guy is a terrible professor. All you do is read even in class all he does is read from the book really boring. If the class does not get you by being so boring then the quizzes will. There is a quiz every class and half the reading is poems that no one understands so the quizzes can be a real pain. Is really a terrible class ruined lit.

There is a lot of reading required for this class and you have to read because he gives you 5 questions quizzes every class. The quizzes are easy and the midterm is optional. He doesn't tolerate immaturity or laziness. Just got to class, sit there, listen, and TAKE NOTES! The midterm and final are open book

LOOKS LIKE A SKINNY WILFORD BRIMLEY!! lol his tests are easssyyyy and he is pretty laid back lets you out early most of the time. as long as you follow his format of essay writing your golden...he hates the standard intro body conclusion he thinks that essays should go right into the topic and be straight to the point...its not that hard to do!!

Not interested in your intellect. His tests require no thought process. As long as you read the works you will pass, but for such a smart professor, you would expect much more of a challenge. Boring.

Absolutely loved him, the readings he chooses are interesting and easy...read and the quizzes are super easy. no tests just final. Not grumpy just has a low tolerance for ignorance, laziness & disrespect. Actually has a lot of insight to offer if you approach him right. Loves the yankees, beer, 50s 60s classic rock and a witty sense of humor.

This is my second time taking him. He is really easy if you read. You get like a 6 question quiz every time but its not hard at all. He lets you out early also. Most of the time we are in there for 30 min. Has about 5 movies to so he is an easy teacher but just read and you will be set!

This class requires a LOT of reading. As long as you read, you will do good. I never sleep in classes (ever) but he put me to sleep a few times. You get a quiz every week (maybe twice a week) on what you read. Not all that hard if you use SparkNotes. Doesn't like to help, but when hes talking about literature, he gets into it. I got a B..he's ok.

All you do in his comp 2 class is watch movies based on the books you were supposed to read. He gives short quizzes that are ridiculously easy even if you only read sparknotes. Oh, and the final research paper only has to be 2 pages! But he doesn't make sense a lot and he is hard to get to help you out with anything...

Good teacher with totally different views of writing. He focuses more on how to write well and communicate well without worrying about grammar, spelling, or essay structure. All essays are in-class and his quizzes are very easy- straight from the reading. Definitely recommend if he sounds like your style.
