Comment:

Mrs Wesson is a wealth of knowledge but she's old and very set her ways. Her stories are great but she treats students as if they were children--however, students in the class were acting like inmates in a riot. I took the class as Pass/No Pass option because I was not sure about her grading system. I enjoyed the class but I had to read a lot.

took this class and lived every minute of it. no she's not easy but if you take notes and read the material that is required as well as do a report you should have no problem passing. if your not serious don't waste anybodies time.

I felt like I was back in HS. Class is disorganized, students were out of control. Instructor was not clear in assignments or lecture. She lost many students tests. Nice person but inconsistent in many ways. Very disappointed with class.

I did not learn anything! A complete waste of both time and money. Mostly time! She even gave us an example essay of which she gave an "A" to- whose main source was WIKIPEDIA!?=/;If you love music as much as I do, you will be extraordinarily dissapointed after taking this class!!!DO NOT!

Nice lady,fun class,shes older so in a way shes strict just come to class take good notes write down everything she says will be on the test b/c it will be on the test. Overall if you come and pay attention and read the pages(gives you pg#)you will past,test are easy(multiple ch)be sure to write full sentences on definition 1 oral or written report

black music history was cool was hoping for more hip hop and more clarity and more openness from the prof but don't expect too much! she's a crack up but there will be many uncomfortable moments while she borderline disrespects classmates and misinterprets what everyone says (she's basically deaf) but in the end i got an A and it wasn't too hard!

this lady is koo as ****. she may yell somethimes but she is very understanding. i enjoy her class if you participate she will give you a good grade. i had no problem with her except 4 the fact that she yelled at me because i was talking but i got an B and i was happy.

shes alright. unorganized and old. funny. tell her what she wants to hear. I barely went. It bored me. She's like a grandmother or great auntie that's bossy as hell.She's stuck in the 60's. She misses classes a lot but if you miss, she's pretty cool about it. I don't remeber learning a lot, Learned more from my peers

This lady is not a teacher, she is a stubborn old woman who likes to yell at people. She teaches absolutely noting then give a test on 4 chapters. She misgrades tests and reads her own questions wrong. If you want to take a class were you do nothing and then are test on info that you weren't taught, then take this class.

She is very funny. You need to pay attention to the pages she assigns to read. For the test try to memorize concepts. She wants definitions as in the book, so don't give her your definition 'cause she won't take it. I did the paper in lieu of the oral presentation and I got an A in her class.
