Professor Hibbard is highly knowledgeable and passionate. While he digresses at times, the classes were always entertaining and informative. One of the best classes I have taken. Ever. He is always willing to help and truly has the best interest of his students at heart.

I loved the plays and you could clearly tell that he knows a lot about them, but this was such a boring class. Too much rambling and not enough engagement in intepretation--he accepts whatever you say without really engaging you in a critiquing process. What's the point, then? He really is very nice, but I think he needs to retire soon.

Probably my favorite professor ever. Very interested in his subject and his students. The class itself is hard but I don't remember a class that I improved so visibly in. My writing vastly improved over the course of this semester. Definitely take a class with him!

Jack is a very nice guy, who is passionate about his job, however this class was a lot of work and most of that was due to large assignments like a 10pg paper and 5pg research paper due the same week!. Also he has personal meetings with students about papers(this was fine except when we had to meet with him after our final was over) Odd, but nice:p

Jack is awesome!!! The stories you will read are hard to understand, so use sparknotes.com and that will help you out alot. He tends to ramble about the same story over and over, but the class is very easy if you just do the work and make sure you show up every day!

Dr. Hibbard is FANTASTIC. Cares about his students a great deal, and is great at analyzing text. He typically expects a page journal for each day of class, and a couple of papers. Other than that, show up and participate in the discussion (which are interesting!) and you'll do great. Best Professor I've had, by FAR.

Great Professor! He's very understanding if you need help or have questions. BUT his class is very boring. 2 pg. journal due every class period, but it's not hard at all. You don't really have to read and you'll still get a good grade. Take him!
