If you're able to teach yourself then this class is for you. Lectures were not helpful when it came to midterms, pop quizzes, and activity work. Only feedback he gives is "thats wrong". Take at your own risk.

Be prepared to teach yourself. He is a nice guy but the only feedback he gives in lab is either "that is right" or "that is wrong", and he does not explain HOW to solve problems. I ended up using Chegg mid semester to figure out my homework. Take at your own risk, and DO THE STUDY CONTRACT.

AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS! His lectures are unclear and expects you to know the lecture material before the lab. Ask him for help? He only gives yes and no answers. He will never explain any homework and lab questions to you. And his pop quizzes are always from random questions from lab. Do yourself a favor , DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HIS CLASSES!

Dont get me wrong, I like him as a person but his teaching style is not easily understood and he does expect you to learn something, then do it guidance free in lab hours later. He leaves lab half the time. Get chegg study for homework and lab guidance. Also take the PARC class and do the commit to study. EXTREMLY MATH HEAVY. Tests are 100% math.

Osborne was terrible.. discusses what youll be doing in lab during lecture and expects you to know it by then. Wont explain anything to you if you need help, gives only yes or no answers, and half the time he leaves the room during lab. Take anyone else. And Chegg is your best friend for activities and online hw.

Know's his area very well, but jokes a lot. Gives simple "yes or no" with not much more detail unless the class is stuck. Reading labs prior to labs are a must because there is alway a quiz worth 20% of each lab. Grades by omission so too much info in a report can also ding your score along with repeating a mistake on one part and another.

Doesn't explain things very well. Gets irritated when you ask a question. Take literally anyone else. He is especially horrific for lab. Definitely don't recommend taking him at all. He is quick to take away points but when you point out any mistakes he is very unwilling to give back points even if you deserve it. Has happened to multiple groups

Little sassy but once you talk to him as a person you'll realize he's joking alot of the time. Not clear in Lecture just rambles and does example problems. Make friends in lab, he tends to leave and gives very "yes, or no" answers without more detail. Hard class but can be fun. DO STUDY CONTRACT

Okay teacher. Jumped around during lecture and useless in lab. He refuses to point you in the right direction when you're struggling. You're better off seeking help from people in your lab group. HW weekly. 4 midterms. Drops lowest of first 3, 4th is mandatory. 1 cumulative final. Drops lowest HW, lab report and activity. DO THE STUDY CONTRACT.

Worst teacher you could ever possibly take. Teaches you the bare minimum then expects you to know everything which would be fine if he would actually help you. If you ask a question he gets irritated. Activities/tests are nothing like what he teaches you. Expects you to know what he wants on a lab but doesnt tell you then takes lots of points off

Pretty easy class, if you know algebra and understand physics equations you will do fine. There's 4 Exam and a final, however he drops the lowest exam and curves eat exam. Also show you last semester's exam. In activities & lab he will only give you yes or no answers, but he sees that you're working hard he will point you in the right direction.

He is the worst professor I took. This kind of professor should not teach. Teaching is an art and this professor has no art. Saying yes or no to and student question does not help students learn. He is disrespectful. Do not take him you will regret it.

In LEC he will use simple examples that does not help to solve problems in ACT or studying. In both ACT & LAB he will not explain how to approach problems. He will only tell you if your answer is correct or not. He will leave the room constantly too. MasteringPhysics homework DOES NOT match what he went over in LEC so google search for the answers.

Class title should be, "Applications of Surface Integrals". I learned an incredible amount of physics and calculus in this class. You must be able to self teach to pass this class. The labs help with understanding if you pay attention. The course will test you're capacity to understand abstract topics. Very time consuming but rewarding course.

Defective teaching method. I had to go to tutoring to relearn materials most of time to understand lecture/lab. Tutoring did a WAY better job than him teaching and they were students too. Don't really know why biology majors need two physic courses for major though, strange and useless too as well as Osborne.

Osborne is a horrible TEACHER. He knows his material but doesn't try to make sure you learn. He constantly leaves the class during lab so you have to wait to ask questions and then you might run out of time. He also doesn't answer questions. He simply replies with a yes or no. If you can basically read the book and learn on your own then take him.

Do it at your own risk! Take it at Jr college or with Bratton. His teaching method is poor as he gives you harder problems to solve based on a simple problem in lecture. Didn't learn anything useful as its just hard math problems with physic theme. Mastering/lecture/lab does not reinforce material to prepare for exam well. Its a struggle everyday.
