Szpiler is a great teacher. His lectures are pretty fun and interesting and he can be funny at times. Assignments are super easy but participation as well as attendance are more key to getting by in the class. He also gives a lot of extra credit which is helpful in boosting your grade especially if you don't do well on an exam.

I took him online, and it wasn't extremely hard. There are quizzes often, in which i highly suggest that you take notes in the chapters. I tried not doing that and trust me there is not enough time to look up all the answers. Overall, he's super nice and always willing to talk with you about the work you're doing.

Prof Szpiler has a great sense of humor and cares about his students. The lectures are always interesting, but be prepared to take a lot of notes. There are 3 tests, and they're easy if you pay attention in class and study. I'd definitely recommend this class to others who want to take Intro Psych.

Dr Szpiler is an awesome professor! He's very funny, keeps the class entertaining, and is really good at explaining theories. I'm not a psych major but I def tolerate this class. His only downfall is that his class doesn't involve powerpoints. So he just talks and you take notes that way but it's not the worse! Really great guy and professor!

Professor Szpiler is an excellent teacher. His class is mostly lecture based and you must listen carefully and take notes throughout the class. Use a laptop because he goes pretty fast. He has a great sense of humor and is able to make the class more interesting. Also, he is very caring about student success and gives plenty of extra credit options

I was a little unsure at first, but the consistency week-to-week was a huge help. You have to really read and understand the chapters in order to pass his quizzes. His teaching is styled for you to succeed and learn, not to just pass. Good feedback, great professor! I never met him(online class) but he seems to have a great personality. Go for it!

Jack is the BEST teacher. I took the big lecture class and I would just sit and listen and write down anything he used as examples for concepts and then I would go back to my room and do the study guide and plug in those examples and I did great! He is funny and tries to make class fun. For the love of GOD don't use your phone, he'll flip out!!!!!

Don't take the lecture hall. He writes notes on the white board but you can't read his hand writing so you are screwed unless you are good with learning by just listening. Over all class is boring and long but you just need to fill out the study guide and show up and you are good! Also says attendance matters but it doesn't. Just tries to scare you

Professor Szpiler wants every student to be successful in his class. I wasn't the best test taker, but from all of the extra credit he offers I was able to get a good grade. Take advantage of discussion sessions. When it comes to his tests be sure to look over his study guides and know the topics in detail. The only bad part is his handwriting.

Professor Szpiler is AWESOME. He talks fast in class, but you will learn a lot. Participation is not part of your grade, but he definitely believes in keeping students involved for the full class time. The exams are extremely fair IF you study, attend all classes, and pay attention in all classes. You are bound to do well. Highly recommend!!!

A professor that cares more about his students success than any other aspect of teaching. Takes the time after tests to understand what went wrong, and encourages you to do better. provides more than enough extra credit options, if you do not receive an A in this course it is your fault.

He is a really funny guy, and I really enjoyed having him as a professor. He really cares a lot about the education of his students. The tests are easy if you do the study guides he provides. It is almost impossible to fail because of all the extra credit opportunities he gives. I would definitely take this class.

Problem here is, he writes quite poorly and he mashes everything into paragraphs and doesn't seem to know how hard it is to parse out what he means. If you ask him to explain, he doesn't understand and will downgrade you on things he never told you to do but claims he did. He shouldn't be doing an online class I think.

I cannot stand this guy. He tears students apart on everything they write and freaks out over bazaar things. He's so rude everyone is afraid to ask questions. He has no concern for student success and he's just generally an awful guy. The class was okay, but he was just the worst. He definitely ruined the class for me.

Great guy, funny and really nice. He takes attendance, but you really just need to read the book. If you read the two chapters ahead of him, then its like he reviews your reading. No need to study. Cool teacher, sometimes it drags on but i think it was because it was over an hour. Hes cool. Take him, you won't regret it. Best prof so far

I took this class expecting to love it considering everyone raves about him, but it was jus t so/so. I didn't love it, I didn't hate it. Spzlier is a great guy but the class seemed to drag on. Offers so much extra credit and tests are pretty easy considering he gives you a study guide. Overall decent class.

I had Jack for intro to psych, very interesting and very interactive teaching style. Keeps things lively in the classroom, and shows a lot of passion for the topics, and makes sure his students understand them. Would recommend him for any class.
