Here's the truth, it's a pretty simple class if you pay attention, 80% the homework is on her slideshows and some materials from the book, so you're going to need to buy/rent it. Most of the material on the exams come straight from the slideshows. Also, you want to make sure you turn in everything, every point will count in the end.

Very clear study guides, if you actually READ the textbook then the tests are easy! She accepts extra credit. Every class is a lecture in the dark so be sure to drink some coffee prior to class so you don't fall asleep. It's not a boring class, it's just the lighting and her voice is soft. Very nice professor. Follow the syllabus & you'll get an A!

Easy class but absolutely boring, constant lecture and with the lights always off I would count an average of 4 kids asleep every class. you tune out practically the whole time. The professor was really nice and was willing to help you and work around your schedule but a complete bore of a class!

Professor Ramirez is a knowledgeable photography teacher. She teaches the material using power point slides that review the chapter in the textbook. All the homework assigned are questions based on the chapter. Additionally, there are a few writing assignments but nothing too much. The tests are multiple choice and the study guides mirror it.

Jacqueline Is a great teacher? Here passion and enthusiasm for the photographs makes class and lecture interesting. She appears to be very knowledgeable Photo History. This is a good class if you like photography and you want remember what you learn. Take good notes. I learned a lot and enjoyed it.

Worst ever! I had her for photo history, and it was 100% slide show and lecture. No interaction what so ever. She is also very degrading to her students who ask for help. Very boring class and it didn't help that it was a 7pm-9:50pm class. Very unclear on what assignments consist of, especially essays. TRY TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Great Teacher! she likes everyone in class and always helps. She uses Critique time in class to actually CRITIQUE. So if you didn't too too well she'd tell you but not in a mean way. More like a way where you CAN IMPROVE. If someone doesn't take it that way, they wouldnt like her, and arent serious about art anyway. she's very inspirational. 5 STAR

ive never taken photography before, but after this class i definitely plan to take it again. jacky was helpful and encouraging the whole way through, with a great sense of humor. if youre analytical and want a hardcore photo class then look elsewhere; if you want to have fun and explore your personal vision then this is surely the class for you.

Easy Instructor. First of class material is difficult to get through but if your willing to stick it out it gets alot better! Be on time, don't miss and take good notes, study all handouts. Class eventually ends too soon!
