If you don't already speak or understand the Arabic language DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. It is filled with native speakers that have absolutely no patience for students trying to learn. The teacher spends the entire semester teaching the alphabet. The tests are 10 pages long and you are expected to know things that have never been taught.

Yousra is an angel. Her class is not easy for non Arabic speaking students.I saw last semester some students from middle east arguing with her. Please do not due that. Yousra knows Arabic very well,but you need to understand if your are a native Arabic speaker, some of the students are not. For that reason,she tries to help every one.Stop,arguement

Comment:

Arabic is a very difficult language considering its difficult to pronounce the new letters and you use muscle you never have dreamed you had. Professor Qudiemat is extremely helpful and understanding. I wish there was a beginning Arabic for non native speakers. Make sure to show up to every class! You fall behind easily.

WOW I was so intimidated by taking this class! She was a very nice teacher, and an easy grader. (As long as you show up and try!) She IS a bit confusing from time to time, I understand how teaching your native language can be hard to do with non native speakers. Keep in mind you are learning an entirely new alphabet and sounds!

She is unclear on things, occasionally makes errors, and somehow thinks you already know the language (at times). I will say that she is willing to work with you IF you talk to her. My only advice is to study hard, and don't miss ANY classes. You'll fall behind very quickly. Also makes it hard when native speakers take the course.

She tries hard,but unfortunately, doesn't quite have the grasp of actually "teaching" a class. Her methodology is muddled at best. No clearly defined goals for class. She tends to favor those who don't question her lousy methods. I wouldn't recommend this teacher if your goal is to learn a forign language.

this is a super nice woman. I think she is a little unorganized but it gets figured out. She is the sweetest teachers i have ever had. dont talk about terrorists too much (she doesnt like that). Arabic isnt an easy language to go to class and pay attention, and study and you should be fine.

She is a lovely person and very helpful--she really wants everyone to get a good grade, to the point where she grades TOO easily! However, she is not very good at explaining the language to non-native speakers. I got an A but I didn't feel like I really learned anything.
