I was not getting the material through just reading the instructions online, so I would try contacting him through his phone number and he would answer when he wanted to. I tried attending multiple office hours he had and the way he spoke to me was very condescending and I felt judged because I wasn't getting the material.

Jakie is great. He's a really nice guy and is very knowledgeable and helpful with the classwork. This class was a joke. I showed up to class every day and played games on my computer and still got an A. He's one of the best professors at Stevenson and I am taking him again for sure.

Amazing Professor. If you do your work, you will pass with an A. All assignments(hw,test,projects) are due at the end of the week. Goes through material a little fast but make sure you follow him and you will be fine. Try and sit closer to the front so its easier to see. A lot of extra credit worth up to 10 points.

He considers himself an amazing author/writer and pushes this onto his students. Constantly talks about how important it is to be published regardless of what the class is about. I am a pretty darn good writer in general, but he absolutely tore apart my papers - the same writing style that worked for every other teacher wasn't good enough for him.

Hard to hear and understand during lectures. Work is not difficult but do not expect any sort of feedback on tests or assignments. Failed multiple students at the end of the semester because the testing system did not work properly. He did nothing to correct this until he was contacted by upset students, and final grades had already gone through.

Very smart guy and obviously knows what he is talking about. He knows why and how everything works on the computer. His class is easy if you can follow along with what he does in class. I would recommend sitting in the front.

The stuff we learned in class was pretty easy, even SQL was easy. As long as you study the SQL commands, you'll do fine on the final. The class was supposed to meet 3 times a week, but we never met that many times per week.

SQL with Jakie is an interesting course. While the class isn't all that difficult, if you're not at least familiar with SQL or Access, Jakie can be hard to follow. Exams are straightforward, but the final can be a challenge if you don't know all of the SQL commands by heart.

Boring teacher. Don't take him in the morning. he would come in 10-20 minutes late and hold every one over. he just reads out of the book. final was completely on SQL which we only learned the last 2 weeks of class. Failed the final thanks to that.

The beginning of the semester is easy. And you can pretty much do everything on your own, especially since he goes so fast. BUY the book and you should be fine. He doesn't come off nice and can be a little rude. If he helps you or answers your emails he must like you as a student.

i specifically request him, and still go to him to this day. He is very helpful, and has a soft spot in his heart for females, if you explain your situation and are having trouble, no matter who you are he'll help you pass the class. Easy class. He does not seem to know what he is talking about and may seem rude, but he secretly knows what he is doing. Go to class, complete every assignment, and you will get a good grade. You do not have to, and sometimes should not, pay attention in class. He sometimes makes objectives and subject matters out to be harder than they really are.

Class wasn't hard but it/teaching methods were sometimes annoying. each day went through every single pg. in the book performing tasks in MS Ofc. Started class LATE EVERY day and kept us late. Although he did give us breaks on exams to make up for lost time or things we didn't grasp quickly. Has the tendency to embarrass students without knowing it

He is an absolutely TERRIBLE teacher. A middle-schooler could probably teach this class better. He has no idea what he is talking about. He also expects everyone to know everything, and when you don't, he treats you like you are stupid. It's a waste. Each class started later and later. He started a 50 minute class 25 minutes late and kept us late.
