My advice is that you go to class and make sure you understand the material he gives IN CLASS, thoroughly. His exams are tough, but also are not unfair. If you understand the material and give 150% on tests, you will pass the class.

Go to class and take notes, otherwise the exams are gonna be tough. Do your homework, pay attention in class, and READ THE TESTS thoroughly. They do have trick questions.

He's a very good CS professor. He makes you work hard for a good grade, his exams are structured to make you pay attention to fine detail, and his classes are structured to make you rely on yourself to learn to the full extent. If you're in computer science and you expect everything to be handed to you then drop. This man knows what he is doing.

I had this professor a couple of years ago. He was very knowledgeable. The class was tough and you had to work hard for your grade, but it kept you on your toes. Overall I loved the class and enjoyed the professor.

Professor Bilitski can be a tough professor, but he's a great person to learn from. He likes trick questions, but not for the sake of trying to trick people but getting people to think about what they're doing and paying attention to detail. I would recommend this professor/class to anyone interested in com sci.

He did a terrible job teaching this course. He only gave 2 home work assignments for the whole course. In lab he only gave a total of 5 assignments. We went most of the semester with no lab assignments either. His exams were all true/false multiple choice, which sounds easy but the questions he puts on them are mostly trick questions.

Awful professor, he talks so fast you cannot understand him. He draws a bunch of random stuff on the board which confused me so much. Did not tell us what to study so I just read over my notes which consisted of pictures, and failed every one of his tests! Do not take him.

Great professor. He is very knowledgeable but strict. Classes are well structured and presented in a effective manner. He will not walk you through everything, effort is required on your part. If he sees you put little to no effort in he will not help you. He doesn't like "stupid" questions and can be sarcastic but he can also be funny too!

This was way below his level of knowledge, but he handled it well. I liked him because he was sarcastic and didnt take crap from people.. and his jokes were semi-entertaining.

Very good teacher. His classes and mentality are not tailored towards people who aren't very good with computers/basic programming already. He will help you but he will not spoon feed you. I consider myself advanced in computers/programming and I got B's in his classes so far and an A in one of his labs. He's stuff, knows his stuff and is funny

He is a good teacher for CS majors, a field that requires a person to self learn through out their career. His classes are hard, but he will help if you ask him, but he encourages practices that will help you past the class. if you don't like learning and discovering things by yourself, then switch majors or rethink your philosophy on life .

Does not explain assignments, and gets mad when he get's e-mails about what to do. Lab sessions are easy if you know how to do the projects, but forget it if you need help. Assigns homework, but is very unclear on what to do or when it is due. Exams are easy. Not very approachable at all! Funny guy though!

This professor is notoriously known to have below level subject knowledge. Does it seem strange that he started with mostly negative reviews from his students and then all of a sudden has the exact same type of positive review many times? It is clearly obviously that all of his positive reviews were written by the same person.
