Great professor, tolerable lectures, interesting stories, mid term and final are curved.. cuz everyone fails or gets like a 70. Exams were a little scary but the curve helps. attendance mandatory, you get a 15 min break, always lets us out early. CAN NOT READ HIS HANDWRITING, when he writes on the board its very unorganized. Deff bring a laptop

Not very organized lectures but if you bring a laptop to class it makes it way easier to keep up with him and have organized notes. He's very nice, tells lots of interesting stories, and answers any questions. He curves the tests. Definitely buy a textbook because he puts questions on the tests that were only in the book & not mentioned in lecture.

Very knowledgeable, he knows his subject. He speaks from past experiences from his field. Very easy to talk to. A little unorganized when lecturing at times. Overall very enjoyable. Grade- 90% exams (mid term and final) 10% attendance.

Dr. Davidow is hands down one of the nicest people I've ever met. He really cares about his students and is very respectful. Attendance, midterm, and final make up the grade. Midterm and final are tough but he curves so much it's nearly impossible to fail. Class usually gets out after 2 hours. I would definitely reccomend taking this class.

Honestly I wanted to hate him after the midterm because it was EXTREMELY hard, you could study for hours & you will most likely fail, but I can't hate him because he's a good guy! Theres only 3 grades, midterm, final, participation. He curves a lot tho & lectures are hard to digest. You need the book for sure!

Professor Davidow is a really great guy and I don't understand why he's gotten negative ratings. You have three grades (attendance 10%, midterm and final, each 45%). His lectures are very interesting and he never kept us past 8:30 so it's worth it to take his class. His exams are long and hard, but he gives huge curves so you will easily pass.

Dr. Davidow is a great person and has a lot of knowledge in the field, yet he is not so great at getting the info across. You walk away knowing alot of basic ideas and know alot about his personal stories. Be prepared to read alot. Long chapters and they are a must to pass an exam. Only two grades, but he curves drastically.

Dr. Davidow is great; always willing to answer questions; such a nice professor. His lectures are very interesting; he encourages group discussions. No homework, no papers; just a midterm and a final, 50 points each, which make up your entire grade, so you NEED the book to study. I would definitely recommend taking his class.

I don't feel I am learning everything I need to know in this class. Supposed to be a 4 hour course, lets us out after 2 hours. Disorganized when lecturing (no power points, just written on board). A little opinionated and seems to side with earlier psychologists. Nice guy but I don't think Im getting my moneys worth.

Exams and reading were superrrrrrr hard. But he is such a nice guy that you can't even be mad. His lectures are awesome and you laugh at least once a class. Even tells you that it's not about letter grades it's about what you have learned and taken from the class. Doesn't like to fail his students. Wants to see you succeed. TAKE TAKE TAKE!

It was a large class but i really liked this professor! Hes super nice and will answer your questions at any time! he even tells you to call or text him with questions. I took the one night a week class but we never stayed passed 8:30 and he always gives a 15 min break. Material was kind of hard and you only have a midterm and final but its curved

We hve a midterm and final exam. 2 grades throughout the sem. so if you fail one, you knw what tht means! His test is concept based. You have to read the entire book, doesnt give u study guide. he jumps around in his lecture. also, i noticed that he talks about some things again and again or relate the lecture to his life. Attendance is mandatory!

I had Joe Davidown for "Research: Theories and Methods" and for "Theories of counseling". I like him alot. His classes are based like this: 25% Attendence, 25% Paper, 25% Midterm, 25% Final Exam. His exams are hard. Im not gonna lie but if you do the paper and youre not absent theres 50% of your grade right there. He doesnt want you to do poorly!!!

Easy class. Teacher had entertaining stories about his career and used them as examples for his teaching. He needs to take a vacation to Vienna, though! He keeps telling the students what it's like there and it's entirely wrong...kind of annoying. That's my only complaint. Tests easy, no papers or homework, MW class only.

very interesting class, very great guy who made the lectures very easy to understand. he teaches you in a way that makes you want to run off explaining concepts you just learned about to your friends. the tests were hard for an intro course, but there were no papers or homework. be sure to show up for this class though!
